Given the recent death of Director, Michael Cimino, my first pick-up during the current Criterion sale seems apropos—Heaven's Gate. I also picked up Fantastic Planet.

Let me aboard the CC Gravy train sale too. Only two so far.

I've owned the Extended Edition BD set for a long time, but I also wanted a set of the theatrical versions. At $12, I thought this was fair.

I just returned two unopened Criterions of the four I picked up during the current Barnes & Noble sale. I will have to wait till November to add them to my collection. I picked up a bunch of digibooks during the recent Barnes & Noble 40% + 30% off sale and was pleasantly surprised that, save for a few, they arrived with all 4 corners intact and those that were a bit gnarly were swiftly replaced! However, this time around, the Olive Films BOGO offered by Deep Discount took precedence over the Criterion 50% off sale. I've waited a long time for some of these titles and who knows if they will be available at these prices again. Since I do not pay tax via Deep Discount, these titles would have to be $9.63 elsewhere with free shipping to match this opportunity. Next week will be like Chrstmas in July—can't wait. What a great time to be a Blu-ray collector!
