Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

Was looking to buy it today but like mentioned earlier the Canadian release date is bumped a week - which means it's way down on my list now since I'll have already seen INCEPTION (probably multiple times) by the time it's out, making the moviecash much less of a factor.

Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

Can anyone tell me what type of movie cash this comes with or how it works? I'm planning on seeing Inception tomorrow and want to know if I'll be able to get the ticket with the movie cash if I buy the blu-ray tomorrow. Thanks

It is Hollywood Movie Money. Hollywoodmoviemoney.com has the list of theaters that takes the coupon.

Okay, cool. My theater is listed. It's the only Nolan movie I don't own, so I might as well buy it now since I'm seeing Inception tomorrow.

Thanks

Ah! My local AMC wouldn't accept the movie cash, saying they don't accept checks. But they're on the list of participating theaters! Fuckers!

I don't see my theater on the list, I'll try anyways. This is why I shouldn't factor in movie money into the Blu-Ray price, you don't save it until you've redeemed it. At least Insomnia's a good enough movie to justify the $17 for it.

Well it does say July 16th -8/1/10 that's when it's valid. I tried to see if my Cinemark would take it...cuz sometimes they're cool w/ it at some places. Nope. I bought a ticket anyway.

If they wrongly refuse you there's an address you can send it to and HMM will refund your money and, I assume, yell at the theater.

yeah it says on the back above the check *Not Valid at AMC Theatres.

however the website also says if you dont have a participating theatre near by to send them your ticket and the moviemoney check and they will reimburse you.

AMC has always declined to take these since the begining of movie cash and thats why they put the asterix and message about amc on the checks now.

Just picked this up today.

Haven't seen this film in a while, so I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't realize they bought Loew's which is what my theater is. Declined, I was ticked. Should've demanded a manager tell me.

Re: Chris Nolan's Insomnia - July 13

It's annoying because AMC does take Hollywood Movie Money in "credit card" form. Most of the tickets I've seen in the last year were that kind of HMM, but for some random reason they reverted to the check format for Inception.

Did anyone in Canada buy this today? Did it have any form of movie cash?

^Saw it in store, no mention of moviecash. I'll wait until the price drops - if it's confirmed we got the moviecash I may go ahead and get it now (and see Inception for a third time).

My Amazon copy came with movie cash. Used it for a nice discount on my second showing of Inception. Hopefully Insomnia is a decent flick, ha!

By the way, the movie cash expires next week (8/1). I won't have time this week or upcoming weekend, so I guess i'll catch a random showing this afternoon to catch it a second time just to use it

Thanks for the reminder! I still haven't seen the movie.

Luckily a friend of mine was telling me today he wanted to see it, so I'll probably use the movie cash soon.
