Called. They said they are still waiting on replacements which should be available in 1-2 weeks. Still? It came out a month ago to the general public. I'll give them 1 week before I call back again and either demand replacements be sent out or file a charge back.

Just to be safe, did you actually get fixed discs, LosingMyMind? Or did they just send you the same versions over again?

How many orders have you placed with them? I've only made about 4 or so but I've blown almost 500.00 for those combined.

Nope. I called on Wednesday and they said they are getting their discs in soon and mine should arrive anyday. Of course, I'm 30 minutes from them and I still don't have them so I will call again tomorrow and tell them if I don't have them by Friday I will start the chargeback. It's fucking nuts that we paid top dollar for these discs and 3 months later still have a defective product.

^^ I got mine in the mail today. To be honest I really didn't think I'd get them. If they are actually corrected versions I'll give Full Moon a big thumbs up even if it took a few months.

I got mine. I'll never order from them again. Not only did we pay a premium to get them early, they sent the box sets out late and continued to sell the corrected versions for months before boxset people got replacements.

...and the new discs are even more fucked up. Constant freezes every 5-10 seconds. This just rocks. Full Moon, go fuck yourselves.

They don't have any other BDs announced (or planned that I know of). Of course, I'll never order anything from them again.

Just saw them today at a sci-fi/horror con. They were selling individual DVDs for $10 when the e-mail they sent out today says $6.66 each. I asked about the Axis box sets and both the DVD one and the BR one are around the 8xx's right now so I think they will be part of a 50% off free shipping sale at some point.

I also asked the guy about the audio issue and he had no idea what I was talking about.

These are in another thread but I think they fit in better over here (2 items signed by Charles Band and Charles Band talking to Joe Bob Briggs).

Awesome news! I dig the Subspecies series, and I'd like to see the rest hit BD at some point.

With a few exceptions like the first Trancers film, Charles Band/Full Moon doesn't own the Empire Pictures titles from 1983-1991, MGM does.

They do own some of the earlier Charles Band films from the 70s and early 80s, like Laserblast and Parasite.

On a related note, what Full Moon DVDs had substantial extras aside from recycling old Video Zine segments? I know there were Collector's Editions of films like Retro Puppet Master and Subspecies IV that had audio commentaries from the directors. Anything else?

Obviously is an improvement on the old DVD, but since it's Full Moon, I'll wait on the final product for any other comments :)

I always liked the Subspecies series but was always bothered by how a certain major conflict in the first film was resolved in such an anticlimactic manner at the beginning of the second film.

But it was cool how each subsequent film (with the exception of the fourth film - when in the story does that even fit?) picked up exactly were the previous films left off.

Going to get it no matter what. Will never be released again and would like to have the rest come out some time also, never going to happen if no one buys this one.
