While its not in production yet, i didnt say it wont be at some point in the future. there will be a halloween 3 just not a Rob ZOmbie Halloween 3

I was hoping for the same thing. At least for El Cid - that is a great, great movie (Fall of the Roman Empire is merely very good).

Who knows? It may still see a blu release before too long...

Probably just so they can include the Sony Pictures logo on the cover. I'm willing to bet everything else (video, audio, extras) right down to the cover art will be exactly the same. This isn't too uncommon when a film's home video distribution rights are picked up by another studio. Remember The Big Lebowski? The first DVD release was from Polygram. Then Universal got ahold of it and released their own DVD which was exactly the same as the Polygram release except the Polygram logo was replaced with the Universal logo.
