I never saw it in the theaters but will blindly buy it due to Wes Anderson's direction alone. However, I must admit that March 23 is going to be an expensive (and exceptional) release day - Toy Story 1 & 2, Mad Men, and now this.

Re: Fantastic Mr. Fox -------> 3/23/10 (BD + DVD + DC)

Jason Schwartzman claimed a Darjeeling Criterion was in the works while promoting Fantastic Mr. Fox, so perhaps Fox IS licensing these to Criterion, and are just requesting a nice solid little window before Criterion does anything.

Since DL was Anderson's best movie, I'd say no.

I didn't know we were talking about TRT

and to have that as the worst movie in your catalog of work (haven't seen FMF yet) isn't a bad thing

Everyone knows that The Life Aquatic is hands down Anderson's worst movie - not Darjeeling. Can't wait to grab this one on blu-ray - easily one of my favourite movies in a long time.

Life Aquatic is his second best film after Royal Tenenbaums.

(although I might put Fox in TLA's place now.)

I'm not sure if I'd put Fox in third, before Rushmore, or fourth, after Rushmore.
