Where is everyone getting 8 1/2 from? I see so many people here getting it, but the price is ridiculous everywhere. Is there some sale that I don't know about? I can wait for a B&N sale.

I'm sticking with my New Years promise & waiting for prices to drop. I definitely will buy Moon & Hurt Locker, but I can wait until they drop down to $20 or less.

i was gonna get the Hurt Locker steelbook...

I ended up getting as part of the current B2G1 sale at BN -- paired with a couple cheap TV seasons on DVD. With cash back, membership discount, coupon and tax, 8 1/2 end up averaging out to $15.0X for me. That was only about 50¢ or 60¢ more than the last BN Criterion sale with one of the $5 off $20 coupons.

Hurt Locker was good but not something you need to see again IMO.

Didn't mind paying $25 for the Blu-ray, when I got $19 for the old DVD.

I'm only getting Halloween II now....

I decided to wait on The Simpsons: Season 20, since it has virtually no bonus features...I'll only pick it up when/if it gets really cheap (under $20 at least), or when/if they give it a proper re-release years from now (after they finish putting out 13-19 on DVD)....

I'll also eventually pick up Cliffhanger and Last Action Hero when the price is right....

A bit torn on what I'll buy right away. Sad to see that Big Fan isn't out on BD. That's one of my fave films of the year. If the DVD is at a decent price, I will possibly get it. But I might wait awhile on that.
