Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
Wow, so that must mean that the sequels are already remastered for blu ray. That can only mean 1 thing, when the remake hits blu ray, some of the sequels will be released .I mean, do you really think they would go to all the trouble to have all those clips in blu ray form on this disc, and not release them later???

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
Adam,I almost forgot. When you say the big scare on the bus, do you mean the opening minutes of part 2 , or the ending of the movie???
|
Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
The chest-burster ending.
The clips from the sequels look really great (I've rewatched most of 'em on the cable HD channels, and I don't remember them looking this good), so hopefully a full box set isn't too far off. |
Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10

The HDNet version of Nightmare 3 used the audio with the generic song when Kristen turns on her radio while trying to stay awake. This was the same music found on VHS and cable versions. But the DVDs restored Dokken's "Into The Fire" for that scene, which was the way it was in the theater. Is it pretty safe to assume that the Blu-ray version will have the crappy, generic song? :( |

Well, that sucks. As usual, anything with WM is YMMV. Someone might've put these out early.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
I went to 2 Wal-Marts (one in Illinois and one in Indiana) and both of them had shelf tags for NOES and both had a price of $20. I don't know where the one person got it for $15 but it seems like around me it's going to be $20.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
You know, a strange thing had happened when I bought the copy last week. There were 2 copies just stuck with some other BRs. I was curious what the price was and could not find a shelf tag where it should go. So, I took it over to the cashier in the electronics dept. When she scanned it, I thought I heard her say "$20" and I thought I saw it on the register display. I told her "No thanks, I'll put it back" and then she said "How about $15, it's $5 less." I said sure and paid for it.
As I was walking out, I was wondering if I really heard what I did or maybe I misunderstood. I looked on the receipt and it showed the price as $15.00. There was no discount applied. I'm kicking myself for not going back and asking her why the price change. I just looked around for the receipt. Yep, even checked the garbage. It might've gone out on Friday's pickup. So... I'm baffled about the price. When I go back later in the week, I'll see what they're selling it for. |

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
Honestly I'll be incredibly surprised if my local BB will even have this out by the time I get there. My BB sucks at putting stuff out on release date, especially catalog titles. I usually get there around 1pm and they still don't have the stuff out. I've gone there like 2 or 3 days after release date and they still won't have stuff out. Hopefully this will be out, I don't feel like asking for it (cause they can never find the items anyway) and I don't feel like going to a different BB.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
Nowhere to be found at Fry's this morning. They said they hadn't received it yet. They have it listed for 16.99 vs. Best Buy's 24.99 so I can wait.

Bloomingdale and Schaumburg are my usual haunts. |
Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
BB had only 5 copies on the shelf at opening. Was able to pick up for $15.77 pm'd with Fry's. It did have a sticker w/ movie cash on it and it does have a paper ticket inside.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street ----> 4/6/10
Adam Tyner,
I noticed on AV Maniacs, you mentioned that a sound effect was missing from the BD. I think this was the case with the Canadian BD, can you (or anyone else) confirm that certain sound effects/cues are missing from the U.S release? |
