Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
The Trilogy will be available, i guess (and normally), this year, from Universal to coincide with the 25th Anniversary :)
Can't wait, and it will be a blind buy for me : love this trilogy (especially the 2 first movies, with a preference for the first one) |
Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
I need these films on Blu.

Whenever they do come out, it'd be a first day purchase for me as well. My favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future.
The funny thing is it's 2010 now, and part II was set in 2015. Think we can get all that stuff in 5 years? ;) |

It's too bad both sequels sucked so badly (my opinion, send your complaints to the editor). Unless all 3 are packaged and sold under $40, then all I want is the original and one of the best movies of all time.
Chris It irritates the crap out of me when they won't release certain movies separately. I still want Spider-Man 1 & 2 on BD without the abortion that was Part 3 but they still haven't broken them up yet. I refuse to buy the first two until they do. Wonder if they will require people to own Indiana Jones 4 when they finally release the others on BD. |

Shudder! I hope not.
Chris I like both Back to the Future sequels, though (Part II more than Part III, because of how crazy and weird it is). |

I think Paramount is going to be aware of the fact that Crystal Skull's had a head start, though, and not do that.

Getting off topic here, but wouldn't that be Lucasfilm's call and not Paramount's?

I think the reason they do it with BTTF is because all the films are connected. And when I say that I mean the movies can be watched as one 6 hour film, literally, I once edited the films together. Had I actually had access to video without credits it would have flowed together perfectly.

Rather than editing them together I would have saved time by hitting the Stop button after Marty sees his new life, parents, and truck. Fuck the lame "It's about your kids, Marty!" excuse for the terrible sequels. Ugh.

Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
as great as the trilogy was, I feel no need to upgrade from dvd set here. I rewatched this a total of 1 time. :(

http://www.thedigitalbits.com/rumormill.html#010510 The Digital Bits confirms the adsheet as...authentic! WAHAHHHHHAHAHHHHH??
Looks like I'm gonna be getting my Jaws 19 3D fix after all! |
Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
Well, leave it to the Bits.. I just hope this isn't some clunky box. The cover art on the re-release DVDs were real classy. I'd love the original one sheets on the Blu-rays.
|
Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
I hope they keep the cover art on there and don't screw us over like they did in 2002. I just hated the DVD box set cover. I really like the set in that adsheet

Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
This is easily my favorite trilogy. The Lord of the Rings may be the best - but this is my heart's true #1 series. The sequels, while not as amazing as the original, are both amazing additions nonetheless. I cannot picture these films without thinking of all three now.

Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
I'll be buying it the day it is released:)

Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
I would love to see some kind of CE that has some extra swag. The DVD set had a free key chain with it, and I just lost mine last year :(

Re: Back to the Future Trilogy ------> 2010?
The spine on the cover art is FUGLY. Hopefully that gets changed to simply say Back to the Future Trilogy.
