The Trilogy will be available, i guess (and normally), this year, from Universal to coincide with the 25th Anniversary :)

Can't wait, and it will be a blind buy for me : love this trilogy (especially the 2 first movies, with a preference for the first one)

I need these films on Blu.

You and me both. I went ahead and double dipped on the individual releases (I was able to get the first one very cheap, and it gave me a reason to get the discs with the corrected framing, which I hadn't done with the trilogy set), but I would totally buy this on Blu.

 How can a movie series you "love" be a "blind buy"? This must be a meaning of "blind buy" I've not heard before.

Whenever they do come out, it'd be a first day purchase for me as well. My favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future.

The funny thing is it's 2010 now, and part II was set in 2015. Think we can get all that stuff in 5 years?

;)

Chris

I was thinking the same thing. I just want the first one.

It irritates the crap out of me when they won't release certain movies separately. I still want Spider-Man 1 & 2 on BD without the abortion that was Part 3 but they still haven't broken them up yet. I refuse to buy the first two until they do.

Wonder if they will require people to own Indiana Jones 4 when they finally release the others on BD.

Pre-order purchase for me. Back to the Future may be my favorite movie of all time too.

Shudder! I hope not.

I would doubly hope not, because not only did I not like it, I still bought it on Blu already, super cheap in a sale because I thought the features would probably be interesting. I think Paramount is going to be aware of the fact that Crystal Skull's had a head start, though, and not do that.

I like both Back to the Future sequels, though (Part II more than Part III, because of how crazy and weird it is).

I think there are numerous reasons why II is far better than III, crazy and weird aside. Personally, I don't like III much at all.

Getting off topic here, but wouldn't that be Lucasfilm's call and not Paramount's?

They'll probably start by releasing a box set with all of the movies, then a year or so later release the films separately. This will probably be the case with BTTF and Indy.

I think the reason they do it with BTTF is because all the films are connected. And when I say that I mean the movies can be watched as one 6 hour film, literally, I once edited the films together. Had I actually had access to video without credits it would have flowed together perfectly.

Rather than editing them together I would have saved time by hitting the Stop button after Marty sees his new life, parents, and truck. Fuck the lame "It's about your kids, Marty!" excuse for the terrible sequels. Ugh.

Well, that wasn't an excuse for the sequels. Listen to the commentary, Zemeckis and Gale ended part 1 as a joke and never intended on making a sequel. Universal wanted the sequel and they had to figure out what to do with how they ended it. Notice they spent about 15 minutes in 2015 and the rest of the time in 1955/1985

as great as the trilogy was, I feel no need to upgrade from dvd set here. I rewatched this a total of 1 time. :(

Simple Solution: Just buy them used like I did.

Not here. Absolutely one of my most easily-rewatchable DVDs, and I have seen all of them countless times. Cannot freakin' wait for the BD.

Well, leave it to the Bits.. I just hope this isn't some clunky box. The cover art on the re-release DVDs were real classy. I'd love the original one sheets on the Blu-rays.

I hope they keep the cover art on there and don't screw us over like they did in 2002. I just hated the DVD box set cover. I really like the set in that adsheet

This is easily my favorite trilogy. The Lord of the Rings may be the best - but this is my heart's true #1 series. The sequels, while not as amazing as the original, are both amazing additions nonetheless. I cannot picture these films without thinking of all three now.

I would love to see some kind of CE that has some extra swag. The DVD set had a free key chain with it, and I just lost mine last year :(

The spine on the cover art is FUGLY. Hopefully that gets changed to simply say Back to the Future Trilogy.
