re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Looks like they just announced another favorite of mine, From Beyond.
** EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT** FROM BEYOND (1986) - from the Director of Re-Animator- will be coming out as a Collector's Edition Bluray & DVD combo next year! There will be new extras along with the older ones which were on the prior 2007 DVD release. Check back with us next Fri for another release scoop. And keep checking back with us regularly for more release specific details on FROM BEYOND. Happy Friday! |

Great news! Keep 'em coming.

Can't complain at all about this announcement. Great news.

Can't wait for this one!

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Oh lord yes! From Beyond is every bit as good as Re-Animator. I am so freaking in love right now
|
re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Maybe it's just because I had seen Reanimator a ton of times when I first saw From Beyond, but I always felt like the latter was the better film.

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Did MGM/Fox loose the rights to From Beyond or did Shout Factory lease it from them?

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Have to admit most of these Scream Factory titles aren't my cup of tea, but was going through my DVDs the other night looking for Best Buy trade material and came across a guilty pleasure, From Beyond. And I thought to myself, "Maybe someday, but this is probably not going to be on BD anytime soon." I guess I should dismiss these possibilities more often!
Will be watching to see what they bring in the way of extras and transfer quality. And no, I am not trading away the DVD...only, perhaps, in the future, if the BD does carry over the extras as they claim it will. |

Awesome news about From Beyond and Terrorvision! Not sure if it was ever finished, but someone needs to dig up the original version of the 80s cheesefest Spookies (Tortured Souls).

I'm bummed
I noticed that Halloween II and III both went up to around $25 each on Amazon. I was held off on picking them up for $19.99 each hoping they would drop to $14.99. The extras for those are awesome and I'm a big Halloween fan. $25 for a catalogue title seems a little steep to me. I know the Shout! site sells them for alot more. Should I hold off for awhile and wait until they drop (will they drop?) |
re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
I dunno. Those Corman titles are still pricey as far as I'm concerned. They may drop in time, but it won't be for a while.

It was dropped; Cliff announced in the Blu-Ray.com thread that Shout lost the rights to use it.

That was the one feature I was looking forward to the most so that's dissapointing to hear. Im still going to pick this up but a recent Q&A with the cast would of been nice.

I can't check since I'm at work, but that sounds like something you could find on YouTube. I know having it on the disc would be better, but it's likely out there.

Clues for tomorrow's titles:
- both from the '70s, neither one has been on Blu-ray. |

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
More Hammer on blu is a good thing.

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Never seen either one, but the first has Cushing and the second has Rick Baker FX. Sold and sold.

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
Just got my copies of The Funhouse and Terror Train in the mail.
Naturally, since I didn't order them from Shout themselves, I got them AFTER the release date. -_- Hopefully I'll get They Live early like I did Halloween III, since I got that directly from Shout. |

The Incredible Melting Man?
Thought the film was pretty boring :( |
