I went ahead and picked up the Sci-Fi trilogy for $12.99, even though I'm sure it will be cheaper someday, since I was buying the MST3K Gamera set for the exclusives anyway.

I got it from Amazon for the same price last month, and had a lot of fun with the whole set. Crab Monsters was as bizarre and unique as any 50's sci-fi movie I've ever seen, and Not of this Earth had a surprisingly down-beat, atmospheric vibe that I enjoyed quite a bit. Satellites was minor, if engaging filler, and the lengthy collection of Corman trailers was great. Throw in a couple of informative, entertaining commentaries (several of their we-kid-because-we-love observations had me actually laughing), and you've got a release with a high bang-for-the-buck value.

^ Thanks NF! Another review I browsed was very positive too, looking forward to watching them all in July.

After watching the trailer, I feel pretty comfortable taking a pass on Oblivion, but I've already pre-ordered Damnation Alley. Looks like a solid set of extras.

Wait, they're releasing Oblivion? That's a Full Moon title, isn't it? Is it possible we'll finally get decent releases for some Full Moon movies??

A Blu-ray of Tourist Trap would be nice.

I can tell you Full Moon won't put it out, so I'd love to see Shout get it. I asked one of the FM reps at the recent Weekend of Horrors con about that title, and any other, on BD, and he said the currently available Puppet Master: "Whatever It's Called" was their only release for now.

Ah, too bad. I'd love a Blu-ray of TerrorVision, but that's controlled by MGM. It looked pretty good on their HD channel.

They never even bothered to release Terrorvision on DVD.

It would have been a perfect title for their Midnite Movies line. I first saw it on TV when I was a kid, and was a bit freaked out by it. Bert Remsen is great.

A proper TerrorVision release would get my $. I watched it for the first time via torrent a few weeks ago and it was pretty damn fun.

They couldn't get the rights to Robotjox in order to capture the entire 'giant fighting robots" trilogy?

That Robot pack is bare bones, I have it for review. Haven't watched it yet, though.

Didn't MGM put out Robotjox a few years ago? you can have the whole trilogy, although I'm not sure why you'd want to (although I'll have it)

For those interested, Amazon currently has Joe Dante's Piranha for $13.99 - cheapest I've seen. Ships in 9-13 days though.

I'll probably be using some Amazon credit I have coming my way to pick up Battle Beyond The Stars. I've never seen it... pretty excited to check it out.
