I sold my Ultimate Box a week ago, so I am really hoping all that material makes it on the releases in March or at least the inevitable Christmas trilogy packaging next year.

As much as these films would be definite purchases for me, I will hold off until it looks like these won't just be placeholder releases for ones planned shortly after.
Given that they didn't even bother with a 3D version of Up, I doubt you'll see 3D versions of Toy Story 1 and 2 on Blu-ray anytime soon.

It will be awesome to finally have these on Blu-ray. Toy Story is one of my all time favorites, and the sequel is great too.

2-3 years ... we'll see it. Disney held back Nightmare before Christmas/Pixar 3D films so they can be used as flagship releases for the new 3D standard. Mark my words!

Yeah, I suspect they're waiting for the real 3D format.

I knew BDs were coming when I saw the movies this past October in the theater, the picture looked amazingly clear and detailed. I sat in the theater thinking, Disney is prepping these for BD next year.

I'm not quite sure if I want to buy it on March or wait for the eventual Trilogy release later in the year. I'm definitely keeping my Ultimate Box until the list of extras are released. Hoping all of the extras will be ported to HD.

BTW, for people that are waiting for more Pixar Blu-rays, ultimatedisney.com has a tentative date of November 2010 for Finding Nemo.

I dont see that as that big of a wait myself. Might be next year if they get the equipment out on scheduled time.

Sounds right. They just put the DVD "back in the vault".

Finding Nemo is easily my most wanted. I just caught The Incredibles on ABC HD a couple weeks ago, so I can wait a bit longer.

Sounds like good news...I'll pick them up if they have free tickets to TS3. Otherwise I'd be waiting for the trilogy release. My fingers are crossed for some more nice coupons.

It sounds like tickets to TS3 are included. And I'd say $10 coupons are very likely.

Re: Toy Story 1 and 2 03/23/2010

No way are they not going to port over all the extras from the DVD.

They have done so for A Bug's Life and Monsters Inc (and added stuff to boot).

If they do hold back those DVD extras, they're being cheapasses and perhaps we'll see an ULTIMATE ULTIMATE Toy Box in the Winter.

BTW: Just sold my Ultimate Toy Box DVD release for $60 on Amazon Marketplace last week. Good timing

Was going to unload mine as well but I didn't qualify to sell over the holidays. I'm hoping to get $40 for it in January.

I hope that there's more to come in terms of the extras since there's a big difference between the SD and HD versions most notably the commentaries and deleted scenes.

I'm actually surprised they didn't try and get this out before the Hoilday Season. And yea...The Incredables and Finding Nemo....sorry but no excuse on delaying them for Holiday release.

I don't care if they inflate the MSRP to $50 apiece, as long as the sale prices and coupon deals keep coming....I got Monsters Inc and Up (both are 4-disc sets) for under $10 each, and those had $45 and $40 MSRPs respectively....
