Hangover didn't live up to the hype either. Damnit.

I missed this in theaters, really wanted to pick it up on BD, but that street price is blah.

the target price is 24.99 for the blu. There is a chance that best buy or walmart might have it for 19.99

Not at Best Buy where it's $24.99 as well. Christmas is over. Prices have reverted back to their original prices.

It's official date is still Tuesday. But typically retailers will put movies out a few days early if Christmas just happened. Surprised they didn't yesterday to enjoy some gift card sales.

Re: Paranormal Activity - 12/29/09

Target had it on the shelf but wouldnt sell it to me today. BB also had it and sold it to me no problem. Im just going to keep the copy I got at BB since I had a gift card for $25 and use the $5 off and another partial gift card to get 9 tomorrow.

BB also had 9 on the shelf as well but I passed till tomorrow.

RammsteinFan, have you gotten a chance to watch the BD?

I'm still deciding whether to go BD or DVD on this release.

Yeah.. was released yesterday here in Richmond, Va. I rented the blu-ray at a Walmart Redbox yesterday. Saw it in the theatre.... wasn't that impressed. Curious to see the other cut though.

Re: Paranormal Activity - 12/29/09

just watched it on bluray. picture quality is ok, but i think dvd would be fine as a purchase. I cant justify spending more than $10 on this movie. Bare-bones isnt even the word for this. No trailers, shit, not even a menu! Just a choice between playing the theatrical cut or the cut w/ the alternate ending. what a disapointment..

That sounds like my idea of a perfect DVD. Would you feel better if they had 19 forced trailers and a slow-as-molasses menu? One thing I never understand is why people value 'bonus features' more than the film.

I only watched part of it last night to see the quality and the alternate ending.

The quality isnt bad, im sure the BD is better than the DVD buti havent seen the dvd version. The movie just starts with the choice of play or play with alt ending, no trailers or anything else before. THe alternate ending is crappy compared to the theatrical and other ending that appeared online.

It looked as good as it did in theatres on BD.

That was the alternate you watched. The theatrical ending was different.

Really? It was the shorter cut so I assumed it was Theatrical Cut. (Directors or whatever it is called was 99 minutes so I didn't watch it yet)

cuz if you pay 20 bucks for a DVD/Blu you better have more than a less than a 2 hr. film.
