Simpsons Blu Ray

Odds the recent years of the SImpson's get re releaased on BR?

I would hate to drop any $ on seasons 10-12 that I need and find out they are coming out in BR.

Someone posted somewhere else that supposedly Fox will release 2 per year... so next year we'll get S13 and S19, 2011 S14 and S18, etc. And supposedly each will get a Blu-Ray release (MSRP is listed as only $10 more).

As before, I'm not rebuying most of my SD DVD stuff on Blu-Ray (and won't until it's $5 bin stuff). The $12.99 I just paid for S12 on SD DVD is my SD DVD limit for the Simpsons (remembering various $10 Costco deals in the past). For Blu-Ray my limit would be $20. Whichever hits my price point first I'll buy and forget the other. Blu-Ray is good and worth more money, but not a ton more money (contrary to what most studios seem to think with current pricing).

Re: Simpsons Blu Ray

Ditto Manzana, I mean getting seasons for 13 bucks is too good to pass up. I mean considering my DVD'd get the Rip n burn treatment, then a final touch of eBay, I might as well pick up what I need and deal with BR at a later date.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Especially considering how hit or miss some of those to-be-released seasons were!

my local target was out of the "head case" and regular case. so i decided to go to FYE w/ the target ad to do a price-match. They were out of the head case but had the regular package. The employee did the price match w/ no issue at all i prefer the standard case over the head cases anyway

Thanks. Didn't know it was on sale. Just ordered.

I don't mind the packaging like a lot of people. When the DVDs are playing, I look at the TV, not the packaging.

Yes, but when they are on my self (which is the majority of the time) with other DVDs, they take up ridiculous amounts of room and look bad.

I didn't realize that FYE offered price-matching. Good to know.

It's not a big deal. These newer releases w/ the "head" packaging are really just the regular packaging with the textured layer slapped on top with the rubber cement type adhesive. It comes off very easily.
