Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the sci-fi blockbuster hit 'District 9' to Blu-ray on December 29th, day-and-date with the DVD release. This two-disc set will feature 1.85:1 1080p AVC video accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Fantastic news. Can't wait to get this one. I'm sure it'll look sickeningly awesome. Too bad they aren't including "Alive in Joburg", though...

If anything..that's the best piece of clothing for a DVD/Blu-Ray ever. Tons better than that Grease crap they had going on.
