Try watching the Dark KNight on HBOHD or cinemaxHD, and sync up the blu. The night scenes with thw helicopter overhead when they are taking Dent to jail....on Blu it is ctystal clear when you look at the street below, but on the HD broadcast it is fuzzy. Just look at the lower right screen when the Helicopter turns. Nothing is better than 1080p.

Well technically you can buy a 4K home theater projector from JVC if you have an extra 175K to spend!
I don't believe resolution is that big of a deal going forward with new technologies. OTOH, give me improved color reproduction and better aspect ratio controls.

For the record I meant " for now there is nothing better than 1080p on blu-ray" But it didn't come out that way 
I figure we have a way to go before 2k or even 4k. They are still trying to get atleast 1080p over our poor internet connections for downloads. And that doesn't include lossless audio.
