Looks like Sony dropped their new release catalog pricing to $25, which is why this and Zorro were pretty cheap to begin with...$17 I think.

I swear if just looking at the photo of Oldman in that link I'd swear he's taking a shit but...knowing the film and what angle that's from and why he's doing that face..not so much.

Keep in mind that coupon code bluray can be used once per account. I had used it a while back, but I had a $10 code that I got for doing a survey, so I used that.

Watching the BD now and I am very very happy with the PQ. I'd give it a 4 or 4.5/5 rating.
BTW, this is the first and only movie I ever watched again right after I saw it for the first time. Never got a chance to see it in the theater. But rented it on video back in the day. Rewound it and watched it again. It truly is one of the greatest films ever made IMO.

I have to say I'm very happy with this BD. PQ and AQ are great, and it's nice to have the theatrical cut available as well for comparison.

Holy crap...I've never seen Leon looking this good. It's a massive difference from the DVD. It's sooo...gorgeous. The picture always looked great, but damn...didn't know that it could look THIS much better over the DVD.
Also...what's the deal on the menu. There's this little icon you can click up to and literally click it. It looked like a speaker icon of sorts but..I dunno what it does?
EDIT: Ok..turns out it just turns off the selection icon sound.

Haven't watched the theatrical cut in years... So I guess its finally time. So excited that this movie got the blu treatment. I've just recently had a friend watch it for the first time (the international cut) and it made her cry. She couldn't believe that a movie that gets filed under 'action' in video stores could do that. Now I just have to convince her to watch 'Nikita'.

looks solid to me
