That's interesting, not including Shaun and Fuzz I have 13 Uni BD's that all have art. Granted it's usually nothing more than the cover art, but it's better than looking at myself.

I believe Frost/Nixon was the first one to drop the disc art work

I don't know if Frost/Nixon was the first, but it is indeed mssing art. I think Coraline is my own first Uni BD to not have disc art.

While I'm a stickler on many things, I can probably live without disc art, but I wouldn't mind making a conscious decision to purchase less Paramount and Uni BDs, or to wait for the titles to reach uber-cheap sale prices.

Yeah, not having disc art will never keep me from a movie I like. However, to me, a "premium" product should include things like disc art and booklet/card inserts.

Oh well, what are you gonna do.

I posted the following the the last watched thread but, in hindsight, it's best to have it posted here.

I've been watching Shaun of the Dead. It looks and sounds great. There's only the faintest amount of ringing and some very minute print flaws. For those with sets that don't have overscan, you'll notice some faint window boxing.

I meant to check Hot Fuzz as well but I'm finding myself engrossed in SotD since it's been a long time since I last watched my DVD copy of this movie.

Regarding discart:

... but then ...

Wanted has art as well. As far as HD-DVDs go, it looks like all of my non-combo discs have discart.

Re: Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz - 9/22/09

All of the Universal DVDs I have from 2006 onward don't have disc art.

All of the Universal BDs I have don't have disc art.

Yet the few Universal HD-DVDs I have that aren't combos do have disc art. Weird.

I could care less about disc art. I'm just happy there's an American release of Shaun of the Dead that includes all the extras from the UK set (as I just put it into my PS3).

On the back Shaun says it has a new interview and some other new bonuses and I'm waiting to watch the discs (my friends and I are going to have a little marathon). Are these really new or is it stuff they ported from the UK for the first time?

It's just a repackage of the same discs from 2009.

Re: "Shaun of the Dead"/"Hot Fuzz" delayed

Just a FYI, but the new 4K disc and the digital copy both have the one extra that no Blu-ray has, including the blu within this set. It’s a 24min recent convo with Wright, Pegg and Frost. I haven’t seen it yet, but I bet it’s a hoot.

My remastered 4K arrived today, but I have many other discs to go through.
