Re: Studios with worst Blu-Ray startup
Disney, Disney, Disney, Disney . . . how about Warner Bros. and the way they automatically start the film with no menu? And -- although recent releases are better about this -- the default audio on most of their discs are the lossy DD tracks.
Oh, yeah -- and somebody should mention Disney.

Disney was pretty annoying with this a few years ago, but their newer discs (from about late 2007 on) let you hit the menu button and bypass all the junk. Actually, I just popped in the first Pirates movie to and it wasn't so bad. You just have to wait for it to load, you can skip through the trailers all at once (they're encoded as one track), there's your typical warning screen, then the menu.
