I could see Kuroneko getting released, but with the file name as wackypanther.jpg, I think that fits this title (which has been rumored for quite some time), making this release all the more likely:

I'd be all over a BD of the 1982 Cat People. Not a good movie IMO, but very high on my guilty pleasures/favorite trash films list.
I seriously doubt that is the clue, though.

I don't think it's Cat People either but if they chose the film it'd probably surprise me a bit but in their DVD side they did release The Rock, Armageddon, and The Blob to name a few.

I've only seen Island of Lost Souls in a beat-up, murky transfer, so a (presumably) hi-def release would be an absolute revelation.

Yeah, except I don't have any of those. Feel free to make fun of my HD DVD collection.
Actually I have replaced a number of HD DVDs already. It's stuff like Sky Captain that I don't know if I'll ever get around to watching that I haven't felt the need to upgrade. And a lot of Kubricks--maybe I'll pick up the new BD collection sometime.

definitely Kuroneko. Although I wish they would release an upgrade of Onibaba at the same time, I much prefer that film from Kaneto Shindo.

It would be incredible if it was Island of Lost Souls. I've only seen a bad print of it a few years back and I've been hoping that it gets released ever since that day. It's strange to think that there was never a R1 DVD release, at least one that I'm aware of.
