Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

^^^Most of those titles are currently available through Disney Movie Club. Will it be safe to say that they will no longer carry them after the 3rd?

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Lots of titles in there I'd pick up for a lower price. Guess we'll see...

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

On Lionsgate's website, it lists Jay & Silent Bob as having all of the special features from the DVD, whereas on the previous Blu-ray, they were missing. If this is true, count me in.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

I'm surprised they don't just discontinue the original version of No Country for Old Men and just make the CE the only edition. Would pricing it at the same as the others be such a sin when some of the other titles have just as extensive extras?

I wish Sling Blade could get a version with both cuts.

Oh man, what a show. I didn't get to watch it until recently on AMC with the repeat of the season on Wednesdays. Just one more episode coming this week. Can't wait for this release, and I hope it gets down near $25.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

Definitely getting Breaking Bad!!! I am surprised to see Sony stick with it, since I heard sales were so-so to bad - and we all know they're notorious for dropping blu-ray versions mid stream (I'm looking at you Rescue Me and Damages).

In nearly 5 years, this is the first show Sony has ever continue with on TV on Blu-ray. I'm shocked...but this is such a damn good show.

Looks like Equilibrium will be getting the HD treatment from Echo Bridge as well, coming May 10th.

Maybe it means there will a better chance of continuing Justified on bluray.

I've no idea how reliable it is but Walmart, of all places, has one of my top ten favorites listed for an "exclusive" BD release on May 24:
Quigley Down Under (Blu-ray) (Exclusive) (Pre-order) $9.86 [$16.99 MSRP]

They also list:
The Big Country (Blu-ray) (Exclusive) (Pre-order 5/24) $9.86 [$16.99 MSRP]
That's What I Am (Blu-ray) (Exclusive) (Pre-order 5/17) $16.86 [$29.95 MSRP]

Other than that, I know nothing. But I've been waiting for Quigley to be released in HD for a long time so I'm hopeful that it is true and that a decent job is done on the mastering and transfer.

Definitely down if it's in the correct OAR.

Both the UK and Canadian discs had modified OAR.

Kind of annoyed that Season 1 didn't get a Blu-ray release, but I'm pleased about Season 2 getting one I guess.
