Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV
I believe it's the director's cut that was released in dvd previously. Ended up actually preferring the theatrical version as I remember this so-called "Director's Cut" had a scene where some sort of morphing was done to make the movements flow a little bit smoothly but was just done quite badly.

All of Baz Luhrmann's films are beautiful to look at, and should all look great on BD. But I just can't stand his work (save for "Strictly Ballroom"). I am all over "Last of the Mohicans".

My impression was that the Definitive Cut was bringing back some of these elements.

^Bummer, no Vegas Vacation. I know it was basically a glamorized advertisement for Vegas but it was amusing enough to me that I'd upgrade

I hope the transfer is pretty good on Vacation. Good news and another catalog SD that I can take off my shelves now and get rid of.

Lost In Translation is getting a US release as well the same day unless Universal delays it (again). Uni double packs...interesting.

No, it's been off and on for a year or so now. The Facebook poll is more or less just a 'what's coming out' and 'here is a $5 coupon in exchange for you doing something and allowing us access to spam your Facebook wall' type of deal.

Hopefully they wont DNR LIT to death - it's supposed to look the way it does. Definitely hanging on to the HD DVD until screenshots appear.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV
Is Lost in Translation just a rumor? Usually when something shows up here, the place where I keep track of my collection shows the titles as Announced. I see the Vacation movies for example. But nothing about Lost in Translation...Gizmo mentioned it has been delayed, so I was wondering if this was an actual announcement or just something people are hearing. Thanks.

It was posted on http://www.releaselists.com, and they're usually pretty reliable.
