Braveheart - 9/1/09

blu-ray.com:

One of the most eagerly-awaited titles for Blu-ray is definitely moving towards an actual release. In an early announcement to retailers, it has been revealed that Paramount Home Entertainment will bring the Mel Gibson war/action epic 'Braveheart' to Blu-ray on September 1. No audio or video specifications are available at this time.

one word: hooray! now let's see if the bluray could have a new commentary than the last one which was painfully boring.

Finally! Although it sucks to have to wait 'til September, at least we finally have a release date.

Re: Braveheart - 9/1/09

Sorry for the crazy ten year bump! Looking to upgrade my brothers Braveheart vhs to a blu, he doesn't have 4k so it looks like the sapphire is the way to go. I see that it was rereleased in 2017, but looks to only be one disc? Can anyone confirm that the new release is one disc and drops the special features? Google has been failing me.

The 4K upgrade is well worth the double dip IMO.

I know. But unless it is one of your all time favorite movies a $10 price point is usually what gets people to act on an upgrade.

Thanks for the tip! I bought this from them too and got to use a $5 rewards certificate so I got it for 5 bucks!

I plan to show this movie to my son over the Xmas holidays. Looks like BB had Gladiator 4K for $10 as well but it is sold out! I am not as big a fan of Gladiator as I am of Braveheart but would have likely picked it up too if it had been available. Haven't seen it in a while though.
