A.I. and maybe other spielberg movies maybe coming....

Despite his unquestioned status as one of the most important filmmakers alive and active, only one of Steven Spielberg's catalog films has find its way to Blu-ray so far. This may change later this year with the release of 'A.I. Artificial Intelligence' and 'Minority Report', with 'Jurassic Park' reportedly also being prepared.
'A.I.' will be released in Germany and Spain next July. Cover pictures and audio specs have been released: it will have a Dolby TrueHD track in English and Dolby Digital tracks for English and several other languages. No bonus features have been detailed. The studio responsible for this release is Warner, which holds the rights for 'A.I.' in several European countries.
In turn, retailers in Denmark have received information from the distributor of Fox content that 'Minority Report' is among the titles from the studio that will be released on Blu-ray this year.
Finally, Australian movie magazine Film Ink recently featured an interview with Steven Spielberg which centered mainly around 'Transformers 2' and 'Tintin'. However, he was also asked about Blu-ray releases of his films. Spielberg confirmed that 'A.I.' was next, and stated that he would like to do something "special" with 'Jurassic Park'. No specifics were given of when this movie would be released, or if would include its sequel 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park'.
Note that, except for the one title officially announced, all the information above is very fluid and subject to change. Also, as different studios handle these titles in different countries, they might not be released everywhere at the same time. However, it bodes well for all Spielberg fans.

Jurassic Park? Excellent. I was just thinking the other day that I'd like to see that on Blu-Ray. Even if it's not official I'm glad to know Spielberg is thinking it too. He can keep the sequels though, I just want the original.

Im in for Minority Report and JP series! A.I. can just stay on DVD for all I care. 
Wish other spielberg films would get on BD sooner than later. We need to get Indy, Jaws, and a few others ASAP! I really hope Indy his this year as rumors are saying...

I love A.I. and Minority Report (and yes, I know I'm in the minority for loving A.I.) - would buy both on day of release on blu!

Give me A.I., Minority Report, and Jurassic Park! All three of these films are amongst my favorites! I've been waiting on Minority Report especially since the day I first purchased my Blu-ray player! Awesome news!

Spielberg is one of the most important filmmakers alive. Just because he's not really getting the same calibur stuff out doesn't mean you can take away the credibility of his career.

Never a big fan of A.I. however am a big fan of Spielberg. A.I. would be a rental as I would be willing to check it out again on BD. Minority Report, Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan would all be release week purchases for me with the last 2 on my most wanted list.

I absolutly love A.I. Iwish we could have seen kubrick's original vision for that film though. The others are also day one purchases...

I'll be buying ANY and ALL Spielberg movies on blu-ray that I can get my hands on with the notable exceptions of 1941, Always and Hook. Everything else: BRING IT!
