wow, easily the best 3d looking cover I have seen. Usually this lenticular stuff looks like crap but this is amazing. I had a hard time peeling off the stickers at first, thinking it was closer or farther away then it really was

I've been using the DRC option my receiver, but it doesn't work on DTS mixes, so it's of no use here. I'd rather the dialogue be louder than anything else.

Looks like Warner has completely dropped the bookmark feature from its titles (the last handful have lacked it), which sucks, especially for a 3-hour movie.

Also, if you notice, Watchmen isn't shown on their eligible title list, but '17 Again' is, and it isn't even released until August 11th

Yes, there's definitely a pop-up menu. (You have to have a menu somewhere if you wanna watch the extras. ) I'm pretty sure a menu of extras comes up when the movie's over -- at least if it's like all of Warner's other releases -- but I don't remember about Watchmen specifically.

And even if not, there are always chapters to skip pretty easily to where you want.
But yeah, I guess it was a neat feature. I rarely watch just part of a film, one of the joys of no children in the house I guess.

I don't mind this. Only problem was that the default audio was not the TrueHD.

For non-Java titles, which are very few and far between these days, the players usually resume; however, Watchmen includes Java and doesn't resume.
I rarely watch part of a movie, too, but it's nice having that flexibility in the event you end up with less time than you originally thought. I just find it frustrating because Warner used to offer the feature, but, starting with Gran Torino, they appear to have ceased that. Why?

The weird thing is that the Mega Movie Mode (or whatever stupid name they came up with) does have a resume feature. (I haven't checked to see if the movie itself has it, but the enhanced viewing mode definitely does. I know 'cause I used it. )

The code is now working! It shows as Tales of the Black Freighter in the picture but lists as Watchmen. 4 more to go!

I bought the Watchmen DC on BR and when I went to redeem my code on itunes for the digital copy they gave me the regular cut of the movie. I wouldn't be upset if itunes didn't offer the DC, but they do.

Watched this twice so far. Once on my projector and also on my CRT set.
1.) The transfer is great. I'm upset though because the black levels in this film really show the age of my soon-to-be 5 year old LCD projector. Guess I'll have to upgrade soon.
2.) I liked that new Dark Knight, Watchmen, 300 preview trailer. I noticed they had some perfect looking Batman Imax shots in 2.40:1 ratio instead of 16:9. New DK release coming soon?

Re: Watchmen: 7/28/09 (?)
It looked pretty good, but my projector has issues with blacks so it kinda ruined the image for me. This was the last straw, I'm buying a new fucking projector, and this time i'm going with DLP!

You and me both. I'm going to buy the new Optoma HD20 and I'm just hoping I can get it to work with minimal keystone correction. Watchmen is a great film for testing the black levels of a display.
