Question about Blu_ray special features.
I just recently picked up a player and purchased some BR's today and noticed on one of them (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) 480p and 480i are listed under the special features. This confuses me. Can someone explain. Thanks!

Re: Question about Blu_ray special features.
The reason is because many of those extras were not produced in HD, especially things like interviews. For newer films it's more feasible, but for catalog titles there is a lot of existing material that they can't just recreate (think of those that involve people who are no longer with us). Even in the case of filmed supplements, they may not feel it's worth the expense to master it in HD, and in some cases the original film may not be available.
I know some won't agree with me, but I'd actually prefer that some extras remain SD to save more space for a higher video bitrate for the feature. Of course I want stuff like the Pixar shorts to be in HD, but when it comes to talking head interviews, I'd be fine with SD.
