Interesting Conan clip there. Wonder how Johnny and Ed would have reacted.

I always wondered why Dorothy was looking down in that scene.

Did anyone get the amazon.com version with the poster as the extra? If you did, how is the quality? And for those who got the Bestbuy extra. How is the quality on that one?
I just bought the bestbuy one and was too late to cancel my amazon order. So I'm wondering which one I should keep.

I really like the BB postcards. They were higher quality than I expected.

They Amazon posters look like things you would tear out of magazines. But whatever, I didn't buy the Amazon version for that.

Is the set any sweeter with say number 535 out of 243,000 compared to number 211,535 out of 243,000? Why?

What's up with the following statement on Amazon for the UCE:

Item Under Review

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
Is there a quality issue?

My wild guess is that some of the boxed sets they shipped may not contain all of what they're supposed to have. Or maybe something is getting damaged in transit.

When I bought one of the previous deluxe sets it was missing the lithographs, but I had made such a fuss at Circuit City about price matching I was embarrased to go back and ask for more.

Some people were complaining that the sides of the box were split when they received their orders. Possible Amazon got a lot of emails about it.

My Amazon order was shipped in a big box and the Oz set was in another, small sealed box. Perfect condition.

Now I'm pretty damn curious to know what's up? I purchased a set from amazon and gave it to my uncle. Not sure what redflagged the item. seemed normal from the outside, besides Them shipping mine in two cardboard boxes for some reason.

I had the Star Trek Picard movie BD collection in my cart, went to finally purchase it today and I got the same notice on that set as well. Interesting how they are halting selling items like that.

Amazon had the same message on some of the new Beatle cd remasters a few weeks ago. THose didn't have any quality issues.

maybe too many returns due to poor packaging damage.

Got mine today from WBshop. Two of the four corners were split all the way down. I emailed WB about it and waiting to see what they have to say. After seeing a pic of one busted up earlier this week I made sure that was the first thing I looked for.

I just think it's cooler to have a number close to 1, that's all.

I'll buy both of these movies but only when the movie only editions are ever released
I'm not paying the insane price for fluff

You do realize that Wal-Mart has a movie only edition for $20 don't you?

If anyone who doesn't currently own Oz on BD is interested: Netflix will be streaming Wizard of Oz tomorrow in HD (only for 24 hours, however). Non-subscribers can watch for free on their computers.

While anyone in America can instantly watch "The Wizard of Oz" online on a computer on October 3, Netflix members on an unlimited plan will be able to instantly watch "The Wizard of Oz" in hi-definition on their TVs via a range of Netflix ready devices. Those devices include Netflix ready Blu-ray disc players and new Internet TVs from LG Electronics; Blu-ray disc players from Samsung; the Roku digital video player; Microsoft's Xbox 360 game console; and TiVo digital video recorders.

I saw some copies of the BD UCE at Costco the other day that were split down the sides, still in their shrink wrap. I imagine most retailers are having this issue. Yikes.

How soon will other retailers sell the 3-disk WOZ?
I don't have any Target stores in Vermont.

I got around to watching the movie this weekend, and I just have to say, very happy with this release! This is the first time I've bought Wizard of Oz and it was great to watch it again in such amazing quality.
