Re: Indy trilogy possibly to Blu by year's end
A couple things about this rumor:
I hope they are sold individually from the boxset, because I only want Raiders, as I really don't watch the sequels anymore, and thought the 4th one sucked last summer.
If you look back at Lucas's DVD schedule:
October 2003- Indiana Jones Trilogy
September 2004- Star Wars Trilogy (Special Editions only)
Hopefully he will follow this trend with the Indy movies for Christmas 2009, and the Star Wars movies for Christmas 2010. And please Mr Lucas, remaster those Original versions of the Star Wars Trilogy on BluRay so we can all move on with our lives

This will never happen. You're more likely to become King of America.

The Digital Bits said the Indy Trilogy is confirmed for Q4 release. Here's Jeff Kleist with some more info regarding that set:
"The Indiana Jones Trilogy ALMOST streeted last year with Indy 4, but at the last minute was nixed because the masters simply weren't up to snuff. It was literally killed at the final go/no go point. Now work was being done on these as early as June 2008, so all signs pointed to them coming."
"....Whatever we get this fall is going to be much better than those discs would have been, and that's great news for everyone."

I enjoy the first and third one, third one especially, but absolutely hate Temple of Doom, I've only ever seen it all the way through once and don't ever plan to watch it again.

I would foresee a November release. September seems too early to me. I would assume they would want it out for the holiday season, I know Star Wars was originally released in September but I can't remember when Indy was.

It'll be Q4 or it would have already been announced. This is a perfect Holiday release especially if other things get delayed.

This is probably one of the most popular series of movies on dvdtalk based on all the posts I've read over the years, but I just never did get into it for some reason. I enjoyed the 3rd one, which probably is the least popular of the original three. Oh well, for once, I get to keep some cash for Back to the Future and the Aliens set.

Any time this year is fine as long as they commit to it.

I LOVE Crusade. It was the 1st Indy film I saw and still love it. BUT the BEST Indy film is Raiders, that I can't deny it.
