Timecrimes on Blu-Ray?

Just saw the new ad in the trade magazines for Timecrimes. It only mentions a DVD release. There's nothing about a blu-ray version.

Has anyone heard anything about a blu-ray release of Timecrimes? Are there any US friendly imports?

Re: Timecrimes on Blu-Ray?

Just heard back from Magnolia and they confirmed that Timecrimes is not currently scheduled for blu-ray release. Too bad.

Are there any international blu-ray releases?

Re: Timecrimes on Blu-Ray?

That's really too bad. Magnolia's been good at getting a lot of their titles, including these sorts of smaller, niche movies, onto Blu-ray but I'd imagine they aren't seeing enough sales to warrant the high cost of doing so. Still... Splinter, Eden Log, and Chocolate are scheduled to get the treatment, so I don't see why they can't be bothered for Timecrimes (which is quite a bit better than two of those three).

Not even in Spain. It was released last December, DVD only.

...and they're shrugging off Man on Wire too which I'd think would sell reasonably well.

Wasn't this shot on crappy SD video cameras? That would explain the lack of a BD release.

The only thing I know is that Blockbuster carries an exclusive DVD edition with a "chronological version". I haven't watched it yet. It interests me, because
Spoiler:
really, the movie is chronological already.

The company called KOCH is going to release Timecrimes on Blu-Ray in Germany this July. Will it be Region B locked?

I don't think so.

Re: Timecrimes on Blu-Ray?

Average review for the German release

German subtitles only, trailers are the only extras.
