That's all well and good, but I'll have to see how long it takes Comcast to add the HD channel to its lineup. They're not always so quick on the draw.

I just hope that "upconverting" doesn't mean stretch-o-vision.

Indeed. I'm still waiting for QVC HD...

Actually, I am wondering when they'll add Spike TV in HD.

I think Cablevision added this to my line-up yesterday. Channel 768.

You mean Cablevision got off their ass and actually gave us something without us complaining about it? You sir are a liar!

Seriously though, awesome. Now if they can get us Cartoon Network, I am a happy camper.

It better not mean that. I refuse to watch anything stretched, so if that's the case I'll have to keep watching in SD.

About damn time, as long as it's not a stretched 4x3 image. We also need Spike and FX in HD. Nip/Tuck screams for it.

FX is in HD (for WOW! customers at least). Too bad only half the programming is in HD

Got both FX and Spike in HD on Comcast here in Baltimore County, MD. I think they were added last month.

I don't know if it's related, but both are owned by Ted Turner who doesn't know shit from shinola. I remember him colorizing classic movies.

Not yet. According to the article linked in the OP:
Initially , Comedy will be upconverting mainstays The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, with the expectation of the two programs going fully native HD in the future, most likely in 2010
