Had to laugh - the little guy accusing me of stealing his thread (when my crystal ball showed me 5 months into the future) has essentially stolen my thread by including Amazon.ca links.

Fantastic deal on Blu-rays from a Canadian site. CSI Season 1 for $35 and many Canadian exclusives for $10ish.
Thanks for the heads-up Gizmo.

Interested in picking up a copy of DOA: Dead or Alive. Any reviews out on Chocolat?

Yes, the Reese's are good. But only the cups, the pieces are shit.

Nah, it ain't theft. I'm just surprised I didn't use them before.

---

People should really take advantage of the Inet deals right now! Since they're known for having fluctuating prices, get on it...

Looks to me like you stole that idea from me. Because clearly two people can't possibly have the same idea especially one that I thought of and did 5 months before you.

Well I'll say what most directors say & use the word homage lol. Amazon links help immensely. Nothing was copy/pasted from your thread, however, the only thing I officially used your thread for was for La Vie en rose & its 2 odd releases as I didn't have that in my list...

I'm not trying to be an a**hole or anything, we both have the same goals in passing word along about these Canadian releases. To prove it, I'm gonna be a nice guy here & give ya the next batch of 4 September 1st Alliance releases before I post elsewhere. There are no amazon.ca links yet & I can't post url links to HMV.ca where I found the listings because I'm new to the forum:
-The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl
-Equilibrium
-Harsh Times
-Mr. Brooks (not exclusive to Canada, US release was in '07)

I hope this is true, and that it's in it's correct aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio. I love this movie. Say what you will but I think it's awesome and never thought I'd see a Blu-ray release so soon.

"The Others" seems to be delayed for some reason. It was supposed to come out yesterday (7/7). I just got an e-mail that the estimated ship date is now 7/27 - 8/7.

Someone on AVS said he put FD3 in his player, and it's 1.78:1/1.85:1. Oh well.

My local Best Buy had a couple of copies yesterday, as did HMV. Wasn't delayed, there just weren't a huge amount sent out to stores. Keep in mind that the back of the case states 1080i. The only other mistake (going by cover art) in this batch is the mis-framed FD3.

Well, I'll give FD2 a shot anyway, as it's my fave from the series.

Its possibly the film is presented unmatted... Really wish someone with some knowledge could confirm this.

I'm sure that's the case. I watched FD3 on Cinemax-HD a while back in 1.78:1, and it never occurred to me that that wasn't its original aspect ratio.

I might just buy them. $38 shipped from iNetVideo is decent enough.

I received my orders from Inetvideo yesterday. Final Destination 2 and 3 are both 1.78:1 (no black bars anywhere) I don't know how to tell if it is unmatted. Both are 1080p, DTS-MA 5.1.
After the Sunset is 2.40:1, 1080p, DTS-MA 5.1
I also got 15 Minutes which is 2.35:1, 1080i, DTS-MA 5.1

Do you have FD3 on DVD? If so, you could compare to see if the 1.78:1 cut stuff from the sides (to make it fit) or if there is more picture (or maybe even boom mics etc).

There is definitely more picture on both sides on the blu-ray compared to the sd dvd so this is unmatted.

For Final Destination 2 the blu-ray is unmatted. When compared to the fullscreen sd dvd you see slightly more on each side on the blu-ray. When compared to the widescreen sd dvd you see exactly the same on the blu-ray.

Perfect. I can deal with unmatted.

iNetVideo has free shipping tomorrow on orders $65 or more so I'll be nabbing both of these.
