No idea. I guess it has been discontinued. In any case, I heard poor things about the quality of this disc and the movie itself, well, let's just say I'm not a fan.

Maybe Warner Bros is planning a better release to be timed with Terminator Salvation.

You should also be able to purchase this pretty easily on ebay for around $20 or less if you really must have the movie now.

Perhaps this is because there was a title that had a reissue with fixed video. I think the initial release was 1080i. It was a mistake and Warner replaced it with a 1080p disc.

Well, Amazon lists two version of Terminator 3 on Blu-ray with different release dates and both show as discontinued from the manufacturer. Sellers are trying to get as much as $50 for the disc.

This has been happening on Amazon a lot recently. Last week they listed some of the Harry Potter films and Omega Man as discontnued. I noticed it usually happens between sale offers (B2G1). They'll fix it eventually.

It showed up in the discontinued/OOP thread in the main forum this week. Likely a re-issue/re-promote is on the horizon with the release of Terminator Salvation.

Clearly Warner is getting ready to call it quits.

If it is OOP then I'd bet WB is prepping a rerelease when T4 hits.

I'm guessing a re-release as well. Good luck selling it though, WB. Unless you have a brand new cut of the film to present it's a definite pass for me.

On the other hand, I might go see Terminator Salvation. Then again I might not.

Not with different studios (Fox, Lionsgate, Warner) owning the rights to the three different films.

Re: Terminator 3 BD discontinued? (...according to Amazon)

I'm pretty sure we'll see a Terminator BD box set at some point I'm just not sure its its coming with the release on Salvation.

All signs point towards it though. I can't find T1 anywhere in my area so I assume stores don't carry it. T2 is part of the first batch of BD to be discounted and I also see less and less of this one. I've actually been on the fence about T2 BD part of me wants it just to have the best looking terminator ... The other part want to hold off for a BD boxset. Now T3 (under appreciated) is being discountinued... I've never even seen it on store racks... Then again you'd think they'd be trying to hype a Terminator box set since we're so close to the release of salvation...

See Gizmo's post above. No way will there be a set for these films.

It is sad that Lionsgate has T2 though. I don't think they will ever do it justice.

We'll get a Terminator boxset at the same time a Halloween one arrives - never!

If they're doing a rerelease of T3, perhaps this augurs a rerelease of T1. It deserves a new transfer encoded in AVC/VC-1 instead of the cheap MPEG-2 transfer it has now.

The films are controlled by different studios making a box set a challenge. That said, it would not surprise me to see all three be re-released when T4 hits theaters. 2 and 3 at the very least.

I don't think The Terminator can look any better than it already does. That movie was a very low budget production. I doubt they can squeeze any more detail out of what's already there.

I expect we'll get a T2: Director's Cut release sometime this year, with extras and lossless audio.

Did I miss something? When did Terminator 3 go OOP on Blu? Do they plan on re-releasing it?

Re: Terminator 3 OOP????

I wouldn't worry about it. T4 is out this summer from WB. This is actually a good sign we'll get a re-release, possibly with TrueHD.

They acquired the rights to the Terminator franchise in 2007.
