Paramount Blu-Ray Upgrade Rebates?
Has anyone received any Paramount upgrade rebate cash back yet? My Transformers rebate was due back yesterday (8 weeks from submission) and I haven’t heard anything from Paramount. Does anyone know of a phone # or website to check the status? There is no way to track these listed on the rebate forms.

Paramount is offering a $10 upgrade rebate on 6 Blu-Rays if you owned the SD version (Transformers, Godfather, Sweeney Todd, Zodiac, Old School and Stardust). There was a thread about it a couple of months ago but I couldn’t find it. Of course this is all moot if they are not paying off, and there is no contact info on the form to call and inquire about the status…

I sure wish there was a master "Upgrade Rebate Thread". I know I keep being surprised by those I run into. Aside from those Paramount above, I know Buena Vista has quite a few: Kill Bill, Crimson Tide, Gangs of New York, Nightmare Before Christmas, Signs, Hidalgo, Coyote Ugly, Shall We Dance, Unbreakable, The Rookie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, National Treasure, Cars (expired I think), Con Air, Crimson Tide, The Rock, Ratatouille (expired I think), Game Plan, Pirates Carribean: At World's End (expired I think), Nixon, and Recruit.
I think all those had a rebate at some time but I can't vouch for expiration or details.

If anyone cares I tracked down the contact info for the Paramount rebates:
Web: http://www.cmspromocheck.com
Phone: 1-877-322-8355
Naturally, they have no record of my submission so I need to send it in again. I don't know why I bother with these things, they always end up being more than $10 worth of hassle.

They didn't accept something I sent in for the Godfather but I called and an extremely, nice and helpful woman just asked me to read the UPC from the new set and said a check was on the way.
On a side note, I was going to do this with Transformers but where the hell is the POP on the 2-Disc SE dvd?

I wish that was the case. If it was and I had known, I would have tried to get my hands no a copy of Transformers Blu-Ray when it was $9 on Black Friday. It would be nice if they did offer some kind of reward for those who owned the HD DVD versions of movies and are now having to buy them again on Blu-Ray.

I just checked mine for the Godfather and it says
1. Proof of purchase (UPC) did not contain valid product number
I couldn't find a UPC on the original Godfather box, so I guess i'm screwed.

It's at the bottom of the box on the outside. A pain to cut out too. Can you resubmit the rebate?

I think a lot of people chucked that loosely glued on sheet (I didn't). So is the form contained in the set? I just bought in on the Godfather with the Best Buy $42 sale this weekend and want to make it as cheapy as possible!

Yes, the rebate form was included as an insert inside the Godfather Blu-ray set. I do not recall if there was a sticker on the outside of the set advertising the $10 rebate though. I know that has been an issue with the Kill Bill rebates that even though the rebate runs through 6/30/09, many do not have the sticker on the outside and thus do not include the rebate form in the case.

Some possibly good news and bad news.
Good - All the new Paramount catalog titles come with the $10 rebate forum (atleast the ones being releases on the 16th and 30th) except Old School (its not shown on the rebate form)
Bad - No mention of Stardust or Zodiac. Stardust got postponed but Zodiac still looks good for a January release.

Re: Paramount Blu-Ray Upgrade Rebates?
Read on another forum that there are now upgrade rebates for:
Into the Wild
Event Horizon
Truman Show
Ghost
Tommy Boy
Hot Rod
Coach Carter
Heartbreak Kid
Last Holiday
Days of Thunder
Amazon has Event Horizon BLU-RAY and Ghost BLU-RAY for $14.99 each this week. I was able to snag some of these used on DVD for about $4 each off FYE with their B2G1 sale in order to get the proof of purchase and will eBay them afterwards.

Re: Paramount Blu-Ray Upgrade Rebates?
I noticed that the Paramount DVDs have 2 proof of purchase tabs on them that could be used towards these BLU-RAY rebates.

Re: Paramount Blu-Ray Upgrade Rebates?
Blu-Ray purchased 12/16/08 - 12/31/09. Has the verbiage about same state as mailing address but most folks haven't had that enforced.
