Need help selecting HDTV
I will be purchasing a hdtv soon and I just want some info on what to get. I could of swore there was a similar thread, although, I can't find it anymore. Anyway, I thinking of getting a 40" plasma and it's for a relatively small room. First, is there really that big of a difference between 720p and 1080p? (I don't have the greatest eyesight.) Do I need to buy cables to get the best picture quality or will what comes with it be sufficient? And lastly, I heard that Panasonic was great what other brands make good hdtvs?

720p unless you are sitting less than 5' away from it.
Cables from Monoprice (monoprice.com)
Panasonic is great. And at the price you can get them at now, dont even look at another brand of Plasma.
The question of who makes good hdtvs?...is a hard, general one to answer as different companies make goos types of hdtv's but maybe not others. just becauise they make a good plasma doesnt mean they make a good lcd/dlp/projector...
also, this was probably better to be posted in the hardware forum.
