Say Anything - I'd never seen this, so I watched it with my buddy at his place. Def a cool flick, and it looked very good on Blu. I'll eventually have to pick it up.

Speed--I can't believe this damn movie is 15 years old. Jesus, I'm old.
Nice sound mix, and it looked pretty good for its advanced age.

Clive Barker's Book of Blood (2008)
Decent movie, pretty fine transfer and a pretty active dts audio track.

Transformers 2 This is like action porn. A couple nice bodies humping for no apparent reason. The reasons are all secondary in this movie too. Just a bunch of action for no apparent reason

I said the same exact thing about Forrest Gump yesterday. I remember seeing it in theaters and I cannot believe it's been that long.

Point Break -- Not the best picture quality but really nice sound. I hadn't seen the movie in years and still enjoyed it, no matter how bad it really is.

I bought and watched Predator yesterday. I wish it was a better release with extras and the video quality could be better, but still a lot better then the DVD.

Ocean's 12 My least favorite of the 3 but I hadn't seen it in a while and the wife said she was in the mood for one of them.

North By Northwest - What a great movie. Thrilling, superb acting, fantastic score... and the PQ was ultra impressive for a 50-year-old film. I can't wait to watch the extras.

Sphere. Before even commenting on the film, I feel like mentioning my long absence from this thread (one of my favorites on all of DVDTalk) - I've been so incredibly busy lately and ridiculously stressed out from work that I haven't found much time to watch any movies at all recently. The few times I have seen a film it's been over the weekend and at a movie theater. It was nice just to sit back, relax somewhat, and enjoy this film again. I have always felt it was an under-rated success as a solid piece of quality science fiction. Unfortunately, the Blu-ray is not a giant leap in quality over the DVD. I wouldn't recommend it as an upgrade unless it's majorly on sale. I lucked out and through one of the WBShop promotions got this for around $5. Anything more than $10 would be unfair with the PQ/AQ that this Blu-ray offers.

Bruce Almighty forgot how funny this movie was. Several of the scenes has some really unusual coloring but overall this looks and sounds very good in HD.
Evan Almighty yes this was a crappy sequel but it looks and sounds excellent. Steve Carell is funny and Lauren Graham is a very sexy woman.

Bernardo Bertolucci's The Last Emperor. I don't care what Criterion and cinematographer Vittorio Storaro say, the movie's framing feels 'OFF' at 2:00:1 (narrowed from the original 2:35:1 aspect ratio at Stotaro's request) which isn't helped by a very soft and undetailed HD remaster that makes the Blu-ray or "Last Emperor" a Pu Yi-sized baby step from the DVD version. As far as the flick itself I'm going to need to watch this again because, on first viewing, Bertolucci's bio epic felt extremely disjointed and confusing. I have to admit that most of the characters speaking in understandable English really threw me off for a loop (except for Peter O'Toole) and became such an unpleasant distraction I just couldn't get past the language barrier to enjoy "The Last Emperor." I'm so used to international movies featuring foreigners speaking in their native tongues (with English subtitles for me to follow along) that this throwback to the old Hollywood style of storytelling just became an obstacle I couldn't overcome. To be continued.

Revolutionary Road. Great film. Outstanding performances by the entire cast. Excellent score by Thomas Newman.

The last Blu-ray watched for me was Halloween. It is such a classic horror film in every regard that it is essential viewing.

The Proposal
Land of The Lost
both had decent AQ &PQ, nothing spectacular really stood out on either film.
Godzilla(Emmerich) Decent PQ, an absolute step up there but the real bump is the AQ. Thunderous clarity and incredibly immersive.

Notorious - Lame movie; Biggie was no saint like they paint him to be, very cliched. However, very impressive PQ and rock-solid AQ.
