The Black Stallion was better than I remembered. The cinematography and sound are amazing.

X-Men

Twice. I watched it with my oldest daughter about 10 days ago and left my youngest out because I hadn't seen it in some time. Needed a refresher on the PG-13 level of violence and whatnot. It's tamer than I recall, so I watched it again with my youngest a few nights ago. So we're all on the same page and can watch X2 together.

If you watch the outtakes, they had a hell of a fun time filming this. Too bad none of that humor made its way to the screen. D+

Finally saw Interstellar. Ambivalent about the ending.

Lucy (HK 'Dolby Atmos' edition) - I must admit I'm a fan of this movie - it's a quick 86 minute of a movie - the soundtrack is the star of this as it throws sound in every nook and cranny of the viewer's listening space. (... and Scarlet is nice on the eyes)

Re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Wanted to try out my ISFed sound with the HDDVD of "300" on my HDA1. It wouldn't load and it took 15 minutes to get it out of the machine. Tried another HDDVD disc, wouldn't load but came out easily. A couple more took forever to load...so I threw them all out. It was only 10, but I'm replacing them with BDs.

I use my HDA1 for upscaping SDs and it does a great job and also comparing SDs against their BD counterparts.

Oh, I viewed the new Mad Max and it was fantastic. With my whole system just ISFed, it was quite an experience.

Watched Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray last night and it looked gorgeous. Next up, Avengers: Age of Ultron!

Love and Mercy

Not a huge Beach Boys fan but I loved this movie

The Rookie.

I remember they filmed one of the chase scenes on Highway 101 in the Bay Area though you can see the Capital Expressway and Alum Rock Avenue exit signs though the movie is set in Los Angeles lol.

The Runner. It sucked.

Boulevard...not a Robin Williams classic, an admirable last performance, but it all fell flat for me.

The Giver. Good cast, strong start and then fell into usual "rulers are bad" scenario.

Woman in Gold

Wayne's World 2. I did not think it was that bad. Tia Carrere was so hot back then.

As a guy who loves crappy action movies it has to be pretty bad for me not to find some entertainment value in it. This one was that bad.

Saw this in the theater on a business trip and enjoyed it. Didn't hold up for the second viewing. Wife didn't like it so she went to bed early.

Too much prison sex jokes lol

Mad Max: Fury Road

I am in the minority but I thought it was a average movie. Maybe it worked better in the theater.
