Night Moves
Not a huge Eisenberg fan but he gave a great performance.
Maybe it is me but it seems like Dakota Fannings' skills as an actress diminished once she got older since it seems awkward whenever she delivers a line.
If it is too bad since she was one of the better child actors back when she was a kid.

When aspirations far exceed competency, hilarity ensues.
Not that it would have helped, but it's surprising how very underwhelming the presentation is.
One of my favorite films, from my favorite decade. A/V is nothing flashy- just another superlative Sony effort that maintains fidelity to the source.

Here Comes The Devil
I knew little about this Spanish horror film before watching except its title. It is one of the better entries in this sub-genre and makes for excellent Halloween viewing. One of the few horror scripts I've seen in the past decade that actually need the 95 minutes it runs. I was surprised this movie isn't more well known. Magnolia dumped it on a BD-25 and the result is fairly bad in terms of picture quality on larger screens.

Although its a by the numbers rom-com, the chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore is great plus its not Jack and Jill or any of that crap so it gets an extra point C+

Sound of My Voice
This is one of the more unforgettable films I've seen in recent memory. It is about a filmmaker going undercover inside a cult to make a documentary and expose them as frauds. Definitely worth seeking out, it is a strangely hypnotic experience.

I'm not sure how such funny talented people can make a movie this bad. The wife made me turn it off after 40 minutes calling it the worst movie she's ever seen

Was it a comedy? In Hollywood, comedies are often cast before an actual script is written. Paul Rudd seems to the safe choice for male lead in middling, middle-aged comedies. This is how stars like Adam Sandler land in terrible movies, because studios agree to back them on a project without a strong idea or script in place.
