The Day the Earth Stood Still (Blu-Ray) - Good, not great. Great rental, glad I did not pay money to see it in the theater.

It's hated in the 007 World, but I watched Moonraker last night. I like it as I grew up watching the Moore movies first. Picture looked terrific. Very clear and solid colors. The audio was pretty good, but not great. I had to crank up the volume during certain dialogue heavy scenes. Lowry did a great job on this title.

Watched Punisher: War Zone. It wasn't a great movie, but it was entertaining. It was more over-the-top than the 2002 movie, and probably a bit more fun. It looked nice on Blu-Ray, and sounded great.

Mean Girls. Looked OK, worlds better than the DVD but nothing spectacular but I wasn't really expecting it too.

this seems to be the second Bond title where the sound levels are messed up, was Lowry only responsible for the video transfer portion?

The Last Kiss. Looked good, much better than the DVD. If you turn the brightness up on your TV you can even see the pasties Rachel Bilson has over her nipples during the sex scene.

Yes, I tried it. Shut it.

Nick and Nora's Playlist OK PQ and AQ however I found the movie pretty droll. It was OK but nothing worth another look.

Burn After Reading HAd it's moments. Takes a really dark turn the the final act.

Slither... which I gave up on 30 minutes in as it was really bad. Even Nathan Fillion and Elizabeth Banks couldn't save it.

The Skeleton Key - This was decent rainy day afternoon entertainment. Nothing more, nothing less. I had fun watching it though. I'm not sure if I'll keep it.

I was watching 2010, and I noticed that they made an accurate prediction about the host city of the 2008 Olympics. When Dr. Floyd goes into his son's bedroom before leaving to go on the mission, there's a "Bejing '08" poster on his wall.

Rachel Getting Married - one of the worst films I've seen in a long time.

Shame you didn't like it, it seems to be a really polarizing film. I loved it, as did several friends, but I know quite a few people that hated it.

I loved Anne Hathaway in it, a performance that actually deserved all the praise it got, but the movie itself is pretty terrible in my opinion. A large part due to the extremely unlikeable cast & overdone & uncalled for home-video directing.

Last Blu I watched was about 20 minutes of The Spirit before I promptly sealed it back in the Netflix envelope to banish that piece of crap from my home.

Exactly my feeling on it. Hathaway was excellent in the film, but everyone else was very unlikeable and what I felt was the more intriguing part of the film (Ethan - don't want to spoil it) was not touched on as much as it should have. And can someone explain to me why they chose that wedding theme? If I am to understand it, she is white, he is black, but they were having an Indian wedding?

I think the wedding was hodge-podge of themes, representing their multi-racial family. It had flairs of several cultures, for example some Hawaiian stuff since they were going to move there.
