Star Trek. Great movie, greater presentation.

Diora Baird was a hotter green chick than Rachel Nichols.

Watchmen - Director's Cut, Didn't care for the film all that much. Really hated it when all those Classic rock tracks was used. Such a dishonor to use "The Sound of silence" in a movie not named "The Graduate". Come on Man!!
PQ was tight and audio was even tighter though.

Serenity. Just finished up Firefly, so I figured I re-watch this.

Still a great film. I might be a bit bias, though.

Star Trek

I liked it even more the second time around, perhaps because I saw it in the comfort of my own home, without being distracted by loud and obnoxious movie goers.

Star Trek - 3rd time seeing it, still rocks. PQ was awesome but I felt the AQ was lacking a bit. Wasn't nearly as loud as I had hoped. I haven't even touched the extras yet.

Fast and Furious never saw the first three so a lot of the backstory was lost on me. Plenty of hot chicks, hot cars and CG car crashes. Nice PQ and AQ

Lots of fun. Surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. PQ was solid.

Star Trek/G.I.Joe
Trek presentation is phenomenal! Both AQ & PQ are off the charts! (Australian Region Free BD)
G.I.Joe, not bad. PQ was great but the AQ could have been bumped up a notch. Watched it at the same level as Trek and it was very noticeably quieter.

I Love You, Man - Absolutely love everything about this movie (even Jon Favreu who I normally can't stand). Still my favorite comedy of the year, & unlike every critic on earth, this will still likely be in my top 10 films of the year. Perfect PQ & solid AQ.

I watched True Romance for the first time today (ordered way back form the wbshop.com deal). Enjoyable movie, wish the picture quality was better but probably one of those "best it's going to get" type of things.

The Uninvited. It was better than I expected it to be... certainly entertaining in most regards, but it is nonetheless a 'light' Americanized version of A Tale of Two Sisters with less emotional depth and more unnecessary twists. Despite any shortcomings, I'm going to keep it just the same. It was fun.

I blind bought this the second or third week of release for $9 shipped from the Hastings website. It arrived in like new condition. I still haven't bothered to watch it (of course I've been short on free time). I may try and watch this during Thanksgiving break thanks to your post.

Black Narcissus - Completely fantastic film, a pure Powell & Presburger production at its finest. Hard to believe the film is over 50 years old. The Blu-Ray is a must own.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

I've actually watched a few BD's in the last couple of weeks.

Star Trek - Never had been interested in anything to do with Star Trek ever, however the previews for this movie looked pretty cool. Really liked it a lot, very fast-paced, great overall story, really made me want to check out everything else Star Trek...Way to go J.J.!

Up - Really great movie, awesome PQ & AQ, I couldn't believe how fast it seemed to be over. I'll be watching this with my nieces and nephew on Thanksgiving.

Monster's, Inc. - I hadn't seen this since my first niece was about three yearsr old, but she was obsessed with this movie. Still holds up very well, outstanding PQ again pixar!

The Professional - I had bought this based off of all of the recommendations I had seen on this forum. Kind of a fucked up movie, even for me, very weird, a lot of messages but I really ended up liking it a lot. I only had time for the theatrical cut, but I will be watching the extended version sometime soon to see what fills the lines between.

Mad Men: Season Two - I bought the first season last year during BF and was actually blown away, which I never believed could happen. Season Two blew the first out of the water, much more interesting stories, really built up on the characters, turned the story lines on their ear IMO. Awesome PQ as well, definetly recommended.
