Next I've liked this movie since I saw it in the theater. One problem I have with it is the trend these days to green screen every backdrop, every ride in the car. For some reason some of the scale seems off making it obvious.

GenPion-
My sentiments as well. As you said, one thing that I immediately like was the score. I would have liked to have watched it with the director. The impression I got from the documentary was he really was a fan of the TV show. I too will wait until its a little bit cheaper.

Unforgiven - Picked this up on Amazon for $8.50. Picture looked just flat-out awesome. Movie itself was decent, there is probably more there that warrants a second viewing. Pretty entertaining either way.

Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn - I had heard the PQ was underwhelming, but for $10 (@ Wally World) I had to own the best possible presentation of this classic. And the PQ did leave much to be desired, but I know why it'll never look flat-out amazing. I was pleased enough with the disc that it was worth the $10 I paid.

The Faculty. I'm so glad I upgraded this. It's not the absolute best this film can probably look/sound, but seeing as how this film is less popular than it deserves to be and the R1 DVD was crap (non-anamorphic for one) this was a great release with good PQ/AQ making it worth one's time. As for the film itself, I just think it's a total blast. I had a lot of fun watching this again. I'd recommend to any diehard fan of the movie to pick up this Blu-ray.

Transformers 2 absolute kick ass picture and audio. I don't know of many other movies with that active a surround sound field. Movie was pretty lame.

Fighting - Channing Tatum has the charisma of a turd in a cardboard box. And WTF is up with Terrence Howard's accent? Some good fight scenes, though. PQ looked great, AQ was solid. Too bad the movie sucked.

Wolf - Pretty slick and formulaic, with a ridiculously cheesy ending, but Nicholson is always watchable. Some of the sequences in which he tested out his new powers at work were amusing.
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein - Sheesh, this one was about as boring and paint-by-numbers as glossy, self-conscious period pieces can get. I could barely stay awake through it. De Niro was embarrassing to watch. Thoroughly anonymous, and instantly forgettable.
Both looked pleasant, which I suppose is something.

Trick R Treat - Watched for the 4th time w/ people over last night. Everyone loved it, I'm a bit surprised by the hate for the film here. Wouldn't say it's a very high quality Blu-Ray transfer. The daytime flashback scene of the school buss story looked really good though.

It's an Canadian exclusive but definitely worth getting. You can get it for $18 from iNetVideo. The source used for the transfer is obviously a bit dated but it's still very high quality and worthy of it's Blu-ray treatment (and since the DVD is non-anamorphic the upgrade is even more significant IMHO). Plus the sound is great - excellent DTS-HD Master Audio. There aren't any bonus features included but the DVD was bare-bones as well so I see no reason not to indulge in an upgrade if you are someone who loves this movie (like I do).

Just watched The Brothers Bloom, and I loved, loved LOVED it.
It was a fairly derivative story, but man, it was so well made, so wonderfully written with a pitch perfect script and performances, that it doesn't matter. Also, there's so much detail and beautifully well-shot scenery from all around the world, that it just needs to be seen on blu-ray, which had reference quality A/V.
Highly, highly recommended.

Audition - Save for the gore, I don't think I understand the fascination with this movie.

17 Again I'm sure if I was a high school age girl I would have enjoyed it a lot more. It ranks right down there with the other parent child exchange movies; Freaky Friday, Like Father Like Son, and Vice Versa. It wasn't a total waste of time, had some humorous moments but definitely a one time rental.

The Descent - I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Plenty of genuine scares, and it was quite gripping throughout. I was a bit irritated by
One of more effective horror films I've seen in recent years.

I watched BSG: The Plan this afternoon and loved it....it was a great way to fill in some gaps and add more color and perspective to the first half of the overall series....that being said, it was obviously made for fans only, and isn't really a cohesive "film" so much as a great collection of additional scenes....all four seasons of the show are absolutely prerequisites before viewing this "epilogue"....
