Saw Training Day and looks great sucks that all the features are 480p but the whole movie looks great SQ is also up to par.
viewed The Watchmen with the "zack snyder experience" its actually really in depth and somewhat better then a commentary track. it does lag here and there so i just skipped a few parts but so far so good

I just watched Monsters Vs. Aliens. I absolutley loved it, It was a fast paced CGI, I thought it had some funny moments, some I actually laughed out loud at, which totally surprised me. Top Notch PQ, the audio was also low for me as well, had to turn it up more than normal. Plus there was some really awesome music in the movie, Journey - One Love, B-52's - Planet Claire. I thought it was worth $19.96.

Wolf Creek. Broke out this for the beginning of the October Challenge. Haven't even opened yet even though I bought it over a year and a half ago. PQ was stunning.

You hated it? Wow. It wasn't another blind buy was it? This is why I'm stopping that mostly... though I was tempted to blind buy this at Walmart next week for $20 - the $4 coupon. Guess it would be wise not to. I'll give it a rent, maybe - I don't like most of the Dreamworks Animation films so the odds aren't that great to be honest. The best was Kung Fu Panda and it wasn't worth owning IMHO.

Watched Friday and Two Lovers. Friday was just okay, but definitively worthy of the rental I gave it. I enjoyed it but not enough to own. Two Lovers was phenomenal... a huge step up over We Own the Night for James Gray, filled with superb performances.

Observe & Report and The Girl Next Door.
Both were quite funny with mediocre PQ.

Ghost of Girlfriends Past This movie deserved the bad press it got. It was pretty bland with the quality of the disc pretty mediocre as well. It's pretty tough to keep finding things my wife will want to watch so I tried this. It was a humorous premise but didn't deliver. Add another into the "Glad it's a rental" column.

Did you like it? I've really been looking forward to this one. I loved Soderbergh's other experimental films (Full Frontal, Bubble).
Last watched for myself was:
The Sixth Sense. One of my all time favorite's. Unfortunately, this Blu-ray only has decent PQ to my eyes. It has some painfully obvious DNR that really took me out of the film experience in certain scenes. Hopefully someday a better release will come out that is a more faithful presentation. This is, after all, an amazing movie that deserves the best kind of presentation possible... this isn't it.
Gremlins. Wow! If I was using just one word to describe the film experience I had that would be it. I was worried about this living up to my childhood memories. I had nothing to worry about after all. It was a total blast - just like I remember it! It's easily one of the best 80's Horror Comedy's and a true classic. The Blu-ray has excellent PQ/AQ that seemed very faithful to how the film should be presented visually and provided a great time aurally with it's much improved lossless audio. This was well worth picking up.

Watched Quick and the Dead and Labyrinth this morning.
Quick and the Dead was decent a/v quality especially of $12. Labyrinth is the best it has ever looked but it was a little weird to see some shots where you can now see wires holding up some of the puppets near the end. A little distracting but well worth the purchase.

I liked it a lot, he has a much firmer grasp on his use of the portable HD, I'm not sure how to comment on the PQ of this Blu-Ray b/c of how much Soderbergh purposely manipulates the image, but the look & the movie itself is very seductive. The audio is crisp, detailed, & fantastic. It's not a film about sex at all, & it's sort of the anti-Godard portrayal of a prostitute, where the she is anything but a tragic or exploited figure, rather she is a modern day capitalist. I don't particularly agree w/ the themes of the film, but I found the story interesting none the less.

Man of Violence - Basically a Criterion version of a long lost British-Exploitation film. A fantastic package from BFI, with two films, a booklet insert with great essays just like Criterion does, & an amazing transfer of such an obscure film. While not the most coherent of movies, I enjoyed it none the less, it's basically a British-Suzuki movie with it's bright colors, gangsters, & style.

Sleepy Hollow. Excellent Tim Burton film - a classic in it's own way. I've always been a fan of this one since I saw it several years ago and it hold's up well on this release.

The Frighteners. Completely underrated PJ classic. PQ was good, approaching great. AQ was only DD+, OK, but coulda been better.

Without realizing it, I've been on a Michelle Monaghan kick. Sunday was Heartbreak kid, then Eagle Eye yesterday and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang today

After a half hour of fukin around trying to get the disk to play, Crank 2 was a blast. Great picture and audio but damn the whole Java and trailers issues did leave me with bitter beer face.
