The X-Files: Season One - Shadows. A homeless couple stumble across two dead bodies at a seemingly abandoned warehouse.

Spoiler:
The victims had their throats crushed "from the inside." Mulder says its the result of "psychokinesis"...Scully is skeptical.

Pretty solid episode involving telekinesis...I'd rate this 7/10...

It was not that bad.

I cut them slack since they did something most people would not do.

At one point it appeared they were going to be in town for an event and we were going to meet her. Is it OK to tell an old broad that 45 years ago you had one of those special dreams that young boys have when they are starting to grow fur? I didn't think so, but it would still be cool to meet her at some point.

This is a picture of my nephew who was Dianna Rigg's date to the Tony's last night. I don't think there are any other 80 year old ladies I'd do but for nostalgia's sake, I'd do her.

Maybe if you liked Captain Fantastic you might like this since it is kind of a similar story.

Woody Harrelson stole the show.

Your family get-togethers must be awesome

It blows my mind to watch her in her twenty-something prime, and then see her in GoT.

Time is one wicked bitch.

The X-Files: Season One - Ice. In my mind, one of the all-time best episodes, which is set in the Arctic, and is obviously an homage to John Carpenter's The Thing, which I understand the writers are giant fans of. This was really the episode that really got me hooked on the show, and I tried to not miss any other episodes moving forward. I've probably watched the episode over a dozen times and it never gets old...The music in the episode is also really great...

This one would get a 10/10 in my books...

He's been to a party with Kaley Cuoco, he's been to Cindy Lauper's birthday party, he's hung with the two old gals. By trade he's a caterer so he did Anne Hathaway's wedding. He did an event at Trump's golf course and had some dealings with Trump many years ago. Out of all the names he's hung out with, Dianna Rigg was the one name that stuck out only because of the nostalgia. Kaley Cuoco is hot but other than drunk bang her I think she's an idiot. For her age she's been married and engaged so many times she doesn't care who's on the other end of the dick. I keep asking him to introduce me to Scarlett Johannson but he thinks just because he's never met her that's an excuse. Unfortrunately she's another one that's been married and otherwise engaged numerous times in her 30 years.

2-Headed Shark Attack. One of the best WORST movies of all-time. So cheesy and filled with plot holes that it is actually pretty great. A very dumb premise, but the filmmakers and cast make the most of it. So many funny scenes and it is hilarious how pretty much every actor and actress seems to have been plucked right out of a modelling school. Brooke Hogan is a terrible actress, but she's entertaining in this. And it features Jerry O'Connell's brother, Charlie O'Connell, in one of the key roles. Carmen Electra is in it and is constantly walking around like she's on a fashion runway. The CGI effects are super corny, but they fit the spirit of the movie. You could do much worse if you were just looking for a "check-your-brain-at-the-door" movie...

The X-Files: Season One - Space. A woman contacts Mulder and Scully saying that her astronaut husband might be in danger, as she thinks something might be wrong with one of the shuttle parts. Both her and some others experience odd hallucinations. Mulder and Scully investigate.

I thought the episode was one of the lesser entries in the first season, but still decent enough. I'd rate this one 6/10.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

The X-Files: Season One - Fallen Angel. A military base tracks an odd aircraft via radar. The head military guy tells his people to ignore it and report it as a meteor, then contacts some agency telling them to kick things into motion. A sheriff investigating the aircraft meets a grisly end.

Spoiler:
Mulder investigates the downing of some sort of "aircraft/spacecraft" but is caught by military police. He's thrown into a cell. The military initially says it was a toxic spill, but then Scully arrives and says it was a Libyan jet with a nuclear payload. A weird semi-invisible creature escapes the perimeter. Mulder and Scully return to Mulder's hotel room only to find that it has been ransacked. It's this weird guy named Max who was captured in the next cell from Mulder. Says he's been following Mulder for a while. They go and question the deceased sheriff's wife, trying to see if she knows anything. The military starts tracking the invisible creature but it attacks them. Turns out there's something more to Max than meets the eye. He's a schizophrenic...Mulder tracks him down to a warehouse but the creature shows up. Max is seemingly abducted.

Fantastic episode with a great supporting turn by the awesome character actor Marshall Bell (probably most well-known for his bit role in the original Total Recall. I'd rate this one a solid 9/10.

P.S. Also loved how they filmed part of the ending at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia...I had a friend that attended there and I visited several times...A really beautiful campus, and it's very well filmed in this episode...

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

The X-Files: Season One - Eve. Very creepy opening with a child standing in the driveway of her house, when two joggers stumble upon her and ask her what's going on. They find her dad in the backyard, dead, with what look like two bite marks (?) in his neck.

Spoiler:
Two murders 3000 miles apart (Connecticut and California). Both fathers that died have identical daughters, even thought there is seemingly no relation between the two children. Mulder and Scully ask about in vitro fertilization, to see if the daughters are somehow related. They track down a doctor that was experimenting at the clinic where both mothers went for in vitro. She's in an insane ward. She's pretty freaky, and the actress that plays her is fantastic. Apparently the doctor was cloning herself and was created a whole new generation of offspring (they are called "Eves"). Turns out that the two little girls (Eves) were the ones that murdered their fathers. Claim they have a psychic connection. The two girls poison and murder the adult Eve, and then lie about doing so when Mulder and Scully arrive. They take the two kids to a diner and the kids try and poison Mulder and Scully. Mulder is onto them and they escape into a parking lot filled with semis. They give chase. Mulder catches them. It's got a helluva ending.

I don't know why, but this episode always freaked me out when I was young. Maybe it's cause the two little twins were genuinely scary...They reminded me of the twins from the hallway in The Shining. A very good episode...I'd say it earns a ranking of 8/10.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

The X-Files: Season One - Fire. An old man spontaneously combusts and bursts into flames in his yard and his wife and staff watch in horror. Someone who looks like a gardener grins.

Spoiler:
Very funny opening, with Mulder opening his car only to find a cassette tape which he inserts into the player and a female British voice says that the car will explode if he opens the doors. It's a prank from some chick he knew from Scotland Yard. She's trying to investigate a series of murders where people were burned alive. Unfortunately, the plot makes little sense, and has way, way too many plot holes. Also, the actor who plays the main villain is very underwhelming, and I've never liked his performance. Very overdramatic...I also thought the British actress in this was horrible (not positive she's British, for all I know she was just pulling off her best British accent...in which case was terrible...She sounds like Mary Poppins)...

Underwhelming episode...Maybe merits a rating of 3/10.
