Your absolutely right. It was way too dark. I thought the same thing while watching the film. It looked like they simply dropped the brightness on the film and that impacted the entire appearance of the production.

RocknRolla - PQ and AQ was great. I'm back on the Guy Ritchie bandwagon after jumping off when I saw Revolver.

DaVinci Code Excellent PQ and AQ. Although it was late so the end seemed to drag, the extended cut did seem to answer a few questions left out in the theatrical cut. 174 min vs. 149 min. That's quite an extension.

I just finished watching The Mask. It had decent PQ/AQ (good if your not bothered much by DNR). A definite improvement over the past DVD releases. It still held up well for me after all these years. It's such a cute little film. I'll always be fond of it.

Slumdog Millionaire. It was alright. Took me a while to get into it.

I just watched Taken, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. A great time at my house.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane. Wow. I'm surprised by how much I dug this film. I mean, It looked good to me in the trailers and everything but... wow. That was an entertaining film. It definitely took me by surprise. It was well directed and had great cinematography with solid performances (especially from Amber Heard) and a neat soundtrack/score. I can't believe this hasn't been released in the U.S. yet. I thought it was already out here.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane... again. This time with my sister. That's probably enough views for now but man this flick is intense. I like it too because it was made in Texas and was an independent film that did well (even if it wasn't released here -- which is nonsensical). This movie should be released in theaters here sometime still. It's better than most teen horror/slasher fare.

Hitman You don't want to f' me and you don't want to kill me, I've never felt so much indifference in my life. Very high BPM (bullets per minute)
Picked this up used, for what I paid it was OK if nothing else for Olga Kurylenko's skin.

Lakeview Terrace AQ and PQ an A, movie c+

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

Tried to watch CSI: Season 1.

Worst video quality I have EVER seen on Blu-ray. Grainy, dirty, over-saturated, and with a strange orange tint. This set feels like the studio planned a Blu-ray release, realized they didn't have the quality they needed from the original film, and just kept processing it anyway so they could cash in.

Most certainly NOT worth the $60 it costs on Amazon right now. Plus, disc 1 contains a 2-3 minute promo for the upcoming Star Trek blu-ray release that can't be skipped or fast-forwarded through.
