Some incredible images and sequences but on the whole the storytelling was vastly overblown and maddeningly profligate...every negative bias I came away with regarding Cimino from Bach's Final Cut book felt entirely earned having finally watched his director's cut.

TBG was a GREAT spaghetti western- and I was floored at how much of an upgrade Barbarella was over the DVD- about a huge a night/day contrast as I've ever seen.

The Fugitive - I watched the new remastered version and the movie has never looked better. It stills holds up really well.
Groundhog Day - Still a fun movie. One of the better Bill Murray performances and that's saying something.

The remake of Carrie...this one should have never been made. The original wasn't crying out to be remade and it appears to have been a paycheck for the actors involved, nothing more. The slipcover is very nice, however.

Blue Jasmine...what a sublime movie with a sublime leading performance in Blanchett. just great. every manic moment, every deep breath. so good as was the rest of the cast. i was mesmerized.
