Just finished Dirty Dancing, a first time viewing for me. Predictable, but the soundtrack kept things energetic and Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze had enough charisma that I liked it.

Earlier this morning I popped in Juno and played the commentary track with Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody. I rather enjoyed it. Because Cody was a participant, there were several discussions about the story that she wrote, in addition to the production of the film (which typically dominates commentary tracks). I'm a huge admirer of writers, so it was nice to hear some of her insights. Plus, they had pretty good chemistry together; they never sounded awkward or reluctant to speak.

Iron Man 2 Scarlett Johansen in a tight leather outfit kicking ass. I'm figuring now that Ryan Reynolds dumped her I should be next on her list.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves Commentary with Kevin Costner and Kevin Reynolds. If you can stomach their persistent, mutual praising there's a nice discussion about the craft of film-making. I was amused to learn after all these years that Christian Slater's "Fuck me, they cleared it!" was ad-libbed.

Chloe. Pretty decent movie, not as good as some critics claim, but decent. I may have to watch again as some people were claiming this had a "twist" ending, but unless I missed something I can't say I was too surprised by how it turned out.

Also, I was mildly surprised by the soundtrack on this. The music score contains some pretty serious deep bass (I guess to contribute to the ominous mood). The sub had my walls vibrating several times.

Fringe: Season Two - Disc One - Man, I'm really glad I stuck around with this show...usually the crime stuff and the x-files type stuff turn me away. However, all of the psuedo-science backs it up satisfyingly enough for me and has kept me interested. Really loving this season two arc as well. Hopefully the pace keeps up!
