Just took a few rays of blistering green light to the eyes. Overpar, mind spoiler-tagging that post for the sight sensitive?
Amazon also has a "Trilogy" pack featuring House of Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon available on July 14th -- likely a throw-together of past product. Wish they'd go back and doctor the rather "blah" transfer for Flying Daggers, but that's not likely to happen. http://www.amazon.com/Crouching-Hidd...1148080&sr=8-1 |

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer now comes out on July 14.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
^I have the UK import of that and it looks/sounds excellent for those interested in the title. I assume Sony used the same transfer for the U.S. disc.

A year-long delay for no reason. Gotta love Sony.
"Hey, you know that product we're going to release? Why don't we not?" "Hmm... okay!" |
Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
Blu-ray.com has the announcement for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, coming out on July 14. Unfortunately, it appears it's only available in a 3-pack with Curse of the Golden Flower and House of Flying Daggers.

Yes, I'm sure there was absolutely no reason at all. It was an entirely arbitrary decision.
"Hey, you know that product we're going to release? Why don't we not?" "Hmm... okay!" In other news, Sony has re-announced a few other delayed titles Mona Lisa's Smile My Best Friends Wedding Maid in Manhattan Also delayed roughly a year ago. These already came out in the UK and most people were pretty happy with the PQ/AQ. |

Oh, there was a reason, but its better left unsaid at this point. Don't need to see the same two people defend who magically find any negative Blu-ray news and swoop in to put a stop to it.

They won't be. That was my point.
The Dark Crystal Labriyntho Punch Drunk Love Go St Elmos Fire About Last Night... The Deep Blue Freedomland Snatch Starman Striking Distance ...and many others. Amazon tends to jump a bit quicker on putting titles up before official announcements get out because its possible Sony has not settled on a date yet but alerted retailers. Some of the titles above still don't have official dates yet because studios are still shuffling around their plans to see when is best to release a certain film (tie-in). |
Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III
^ but does that the pre-order number factor in at all? (i.e, high pre-orders might be released first?)
