Besides, I already have them on SD. ;)

Plus we know the EE are coming around the time The Hobbit flicks are released.

Well, that is both good news and bad news to me.....good news because I will buy some of these "standard" Blu-rays as long as the special features are carried over...but bad news if that means "Forrest Gump Special Edition Blu-Ray" will only be available in a Casablanca or The Notebook style configuration....sorry Paramount, but I doubt most people want to spend $50+ for one catalog title just so you can put it in a "box of chocolates" package with posters, lobby cards, a mini ping-pong table, a tiny shrimp boat reproduction and a bottle of vintage Dr Pepper.....
Same goes for you Warner....no standard release for GWTW or Oz in a regular Blu-ray case, then no sale....

Paramount has been good about carrying over all (or most) special features.

True, I'll give you that one...even trailers, I believe, which is more than I can say about Sony....

Braveheart was on radar and that's really the only title that piqued my interest.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles S2 is up for pre-order:
http://www.amazon.com/Terminator-Con...blurayforum-20

No idea on the date as the show has not been renewed/canceled...they might tie it into Season 3 or the new films release date.

100% in for the second season of Chuck! Love that show, hoping it makes it to a season 3....

While I like Fringe and haven't yet missed an episode, it does not grab me as one that I want to revisit anytime soon, so I'll be passing for now....maybe sometime down the line...

Is it just me or are the cover art for these releases not very good?

Chuck looks like a Season 1 press image and Fringe is pretty boring. I hope they change them to show off the actual cast.

That's what I was thinking too. It would certainly help sales. These sets are also really expensive for shows that have smaller audiences overall and are in their early seasons. I'm surprised by the pricing decision, but then maybe Amazon will offer much bigger discounts on these later. I would pick up Fringe, for instance, as a blind buy based simply on word of mouth and J.J. Abrams involvement if it was $25-30 (obviously this wont happen at first but it will be available at this pricing eventually). It just seems weird to me for them to be charging over $50 for it. $50? Maybe. $55, believe it or not, seems like a stretch to me on what people are willing to spend. I saw the pilot for it and based on that I hated the show but I'd give it another chance on Blu-ray if the price was right. I guess that's what sales are for.

Love the show but will probably wait until copies are available used. I heard the show is in danger of being cancelled so it may not be a good collector.

I'm definitely in for the Blu-ray Season 2 of Chuck.

Even though it hasn't been officially announced by the network, this show has been cancelled. There won't be a 3rd season.

I'll wait until Fox says so. Some of the writers are calling BS on Ausiello's scoop (and it may be true, but I'll wait).

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

I hope so. That would especially seem like a missed opportunity with growing word of mouth and reviews, and a new Terminator film coming out this summer to undoubtedly huge numbers. That could in turn help the show out a lot. Fox would be stupid to cancel it now. If it does poorly next season though it's definitely a goner.

I think they should keep the Fringe artwork. The cast (in particular Joshua Jackson) is the the reason I don't watch the show. I've watched a few episodes here and there but it never sucked me in.

When has that ever stopped them?

^Well said. I'm still mad at them for not giving Firefly a fair chance.

Jackson is barely a supporting character, but I find him hilarious. Have you watched any Fringe recently? It's gotten exponentially better now that it's sort of found it's footing.

That's funny - Jackson is the main reason I watch "Fringe".

Jackson and John Noble MAKE this show. If I had my way we'd see more of Josh, but it's a good show as is. I would think the cast should've been on the box set cover art...but it's not a bad cover.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part III

the show runner , one of the producers/writer and several other writers and two of the main cast members (summer glau, and Brian Austin Greene) have all said the show has not been cancelled yet. with the show runner and producer both saying that the EW idiot has tried to say they were canceled 2 other prior occassions now, that were also wrong.

its not doing great but this show is holding steady in the raitings and with T4 less than a month a way there are all sorts of possibilities to to build on that to increase the shows audience. it might not get a full season next year but dont count it out yet.
