Baby Mama reboots machine

I tried watching Baby Mama the other night on BD with my SONY 300 player. The menus came up fine however as soon as the movie started the player would reboot. I tried jumping right to the 2nd chapter but that didn't work either. I've never updated the firmware from last December however this is the first disc it hasn't played and that was really strange. When my HD DVD player didn't like a disc it would fail to load, or pixellate and not want to play. I did finally get to see the movie on SD DVD. It was OK but I get extra points when I put in something the wife will watch.

That's just the new "U-Don't-Control" feature.

Seriously though, update the firmware and see if that helps. These Universal discs obviously came later (after last December), so there could be some issues.

I had a similar problem with the same machine with the blu ray of The Counterfeiters - could get to the menu screen but when it tried to load the film it just locked up. A simple update of the firmware fixed the problem for me.

I'll have to do that, it just seemed so strange that the unit would actually turn off.
