For those that feel the hobby is not expensive enough or takes up enough room there is the option of buying two of everything just in case. You never know when they might go OOP and your only copy gets ruined in a DVD/coaster mix-up.

Pretty sure the reason he has multiples of all those SteelBooks is that he's importing them from overseas, and it actually brings down his per-DVD cost by buying multiples and combining shipping. Pretty sure he intends to re-sell at least most of those.

Holy shit.
I was going to take a couple of photos of mine but since I only have 35 titles, I don't want to feel, shall I say, inadequate.

for those with large collections, id be interested in how they are displayed - how they look on the shelves, closets, bins, etc they are stored on.

Re: Photos of Your Blu-Ray Collection
What I find interesting about Overpar's collection is how strict he is with alphabetizing. For example, The Dark Knight is found in the "D" section, instead of right after Batman Begins. Live Free or Die Hard isn't found right after Die Hard 3, but in the "L" section. I usually keep my sequels together, but that's probably just a personal preference of mine. Nice collection...

Overpar,
Okay, first the good news... you have some real gems in your collection... especially some of the imports. I have a lot of the same imports. And I appreciate anyone's collection that has Criterion discs in there.
Also, I noticed you have the French and U.S. release of "Tell No One." Any reason why? For my money, the French release is far superior.
Now, the bad news... I noticed quite a few duds in there, as well.
You must not be buying movies for yourself, huh?

Second, one man's dud is another man's gem. (Well, maybe not gem.)

Re: Photos of Your Blu-Ray Collection
It depends. Lady in the Water is a personal favorite of mine, and I am well aware that a number of people see to flat out hate it. I personally really connected with it and part of the reason I didn't try to replace most of my HD DVD's is because Lady in the Water has a Dolby TrueHD track on the HD DVD (James Newton Howard's score for this film is one of my all time favorites) and the Blu-ray only had a Dolby Digital track. So in this instance one man's dud is definetly another man's gem.

^ I guess you don't have any love for slipcovers. Still, I love staring at that collection. It's so organized and neat.

I took them out of the display case to photograph them better and put the titles where they were easier to read.
