Is $94 shipped the cheapes for an 8X1 HDMI switch?

I'm up to 6 HDMI devices - cable box, PS3, XBOX 360, Apple TV, Roku Netflix box, and PS2. And my TV has 2 HDMI inputs. So I'm in the market for an 8X1 switch. I found one for $94 shipped

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

at Monoprice. Remote is a must (and that one has one). Is that the best deal around?

Thanks!

Sorry, the PS2 was component. Sigh now I need a component splitter for the PS2 and the Wii... thanks a lot Gizmo

Well that leaves 5. Might as well future-proof it and get an 8X1. Is that the cheapest around?

To be honest, I love monoprice goods, cheap and very reliable. I have a 4x1 splitter from them and all sorts of HDMI cables as well. I'd say an 8x1 for $94 is excellent. not a bad idea to futureproof at all.

Why not buy 2 4x1 splitters and link them

May be cheaper?

Wait, can you link them? Would it work?

Well, I'm looking to DECREASE the clutter, not increase it

I went ahead and ordered it. $1 extra for next day shipping to NV! Should be here Friday and I can work on my HT.

Because then he'd only have 7 HDMI ports for devices.

Also, if the HDMI switches were the same model, I'm not sure if there'd be a way to control them separately.

I was thinking since he has 2 HDMI inputs on his TV, he could attach one 4x1 to each input. However, aside from the increased clutter, he'd have to switch TV inputs in addition to the inputs on the switch.

Uhhhh, she!

I'm going to be picking this up in the next week or so along with a wall mount and some HDMI cables from Monoprice. I have purchased a Samsung LN52A550 and will be purchasing the newly released Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K.
