Did anyone actually RECEIVE their rebate back who bought from Amazon? It sounds like getting the forms or submitting with the 3X5 card is an option but curious if people actually received their money.............

RM811 11-10-08 12:49 PM

Has anyone gotten the $10.00 at all for this promotion?
None of the blu rays I saw at stores over the weekend mention anything about the upgrade rebate.
Most of the others usually do.

I did see one copy of one of the Kill Bill blu-rays at Best Buy that had the $10 rebate sticker on the front.

I just wrote to Buena Vista CS last week and they had rebate forms to my house today. Impressive - let's hope the actual rebate processing is as smooth.

So, you just sent an email stating that you did not receive rebate forms with either Blu-ray?

I just received my Kill Bill bundle from Amazon today, so I need to get the forms too.

Same here!

RM811 11-11-08 08:27 AM

Received my blu ray Kill Bills yesterday as well as my rebate certificates and my sd kill bills from best buy.
So now I am ready for my $20.00 back.

Subject: Blu-ray rebate forms missing

Hello,

I recently purchased both Kill Bill Volume 1 and Kill Bill Volume 2 on Blu-ray. I had purchased them understanding that they would come with Rebate forms for owners of the DVDs, but neither of the Blu-rays I purchased came with the Rebate forms.

Would you be able to assist in having the Rebate forms sent to me? I would need 2 forms, one for each of the Kill Bill Blu-rays.
I'm going to push more, but wondering why I am getting flack when others seem to have gotten these so easily without any feedback at all.

PGHFlyer 11-12-08 04:05 PM

Well, another little hitch. I noticed in the fine print on these rebate forms (including Gangs of New York too - I think all Buena Vista rebates perhaps).........that they say "store receipts must emanate from same state as consumer address"........however the top list of main mail-in requirements just says "cash register receipt imprinted with store name and dated....."

Will be interesting to see if it ever comes back...............

Almost every rebate form I have ever submitted has that statment about "same state", and I have never had an issue.

The cover art for my Volume 1 is all goofy. The text on the back is all smeared and blurry. Is there any way I can contact Buena Vista for a replacement?

I noticed that too on my Kill Bill Volume 2, and Kill Bill Volume 1 has what looks like a few small paint drops on the back.

I am thinking that this bundle and the lower price was to get rid of semi-defective stock, in an asthetic sense.

Let me know if you have any luck. I am in the same boat.

I just filled out the form on the website and included my address. They responded saying it had been shipped. Here is another e-mail address (they responded confirming my shipment) if you want to try them: [email protected]

Can you point me to the form you filled out please? Did you register for BVHE.com?

Just a note for Canadians... BB has these on sale for $14.99 right now. PM at FS and they'd go down to around $14.50.

Well, after a little white lie about one of them having a sticker, I did get some feedback, but not quite what I had wanted.

Hello,

The Kill Bill Volume 1 that I purchased DID have a sticker on the front advertising a $10 upgrade rebate, but there was no form inside. That was the reason I had understood they would have rebate forms.

Could you please assist in sending me 1 rebate form for the one Kill Bill Blu-ray that should have had it?
Rather than pursuing this any further with BVHE, I decided to go another route, which I will not go into to prevent getting into an ethical discussion.

^ Dude just call the customer service line. I was in the exact same boat as you and they mailed me 2 forms within a week. On top of that, the checks arrived in 4 weeks. Just can't beat BHVE for rebates.

Re: Kill Bill 1 & 2 BLU-RAY 9/9/08

I received my submissions back from Buena Vista, along with a generic rejection letter. The highlighted line on the rejection letter said that I needed to include the Proof of Purchase from both the Blu-Ray and the original DVD.... even though both were attached to the form.... anyone else experience this?

Not sure if I should just re-mail them, or if I should try to call them on the phone... They didn't include any contact information with the rejection. :-(

Anybody else run into this?

Dave

Similar issue happened to me this week on my Con Air rebate ... posted in the Buena Vista rebate thread in this forum.

Beside the issue that I think I already received the check ... they sent back that I did not include the UPC, even though I sent in both POPs ... AND they didn't even send my form with the attached POPs back to me (just returned the receipt, their response and my letter that I had sent with it).

I think they are probably just yanking our chains for their end of the year profits. If you contact them and complain, you can usually get the rebate companies to pay out.

Re: Kill Bill 1 & 2 BLU-RAY 9/9/08

These BD titles were 20 each at Target. and they both had the forms includued for the rebate.
Rebates are such a pain, but if they all did it, I would rebuy my entire collection on BD

Now that Grindhouse on Blu-Ray is now a reality, I wonder when and if we're going to get Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair?

No. Grindhouse was an already finished film where as KB:TWBA has never been completed
